Adam is back in the studio following the holiday break and delivers his annual State of the Union where he announces some big changes for the new year, namely the departure of Gina and Bryan from the show. Next, Adam is joined by comedian Jay Mohr who talks to Adam about his recent hair transplant procedure, his recovery from drugs following a difficult intervention, and his engagement to Los Angeles Lakers owner, Jeanie Buss. Jay revives his 1920’s porn reporter impression before getting into the greatest basslines of all time.

20 Dec Live from Tempe with Dicky Barrett and Teresa Strasser

Adam is back for another night live at The Improv in Tempe, AZ. He compliments the city on the condition of their roads and freeways. Next, singer Dicky Barrett joins Adam on stage and the guys talk about spas, turtles, and swim trunks. Bryan and Gina join the guys and further comment on spas before playing a spirited radio-themed round of The Rotten Tomatoes Game. Gina reports a news story about Olive Garden before Teresa Strasser joins Adam on stage to pull ping pong balls for Unprepared. Adam and Teresa riff on audience-submitted words like 'massage,' 'volleyball,' and 'taint.'

Adam takes the stage live at The Improv in Tempe, Arizona. He talks about being a guest weatherman at the local news station and recalls having trouble arriving at his hotel room the night before. Bryan, Gina and radio host James T Harris join the show and James answers some of Adam's questions about guns. Next, Adam shares an audio clip he recorded of his rental car and the gang chats about working in morning radio. The group then plays a round of Blah Blah Blog before Gina reports some news stories. After the news, James sticks around and pulls ping pong balls for "Adam Carolla is Unprepared."
