Adam welcomes consummate singer Darius Rucker to the show for a nuanced and entertaining look at his life and career as he’s about to release a new album.  Darius grew up with a single mom and even though his father was mostly absent from his life, we learn of some audacious requests from him once Darius found success.  We discover his initial love for music, how ‘Hootie & the Blowfish’ was created with college buddies, and the trajectory of being successful and talented as a black man not necessarily fitting into specific molds of where people expect others should be.  He mentions being the butt of SNL jokes, and on the brighter side some epic rockstar parties.

Adam welcomes comedian K-von and they find common ground together discussing  cancer culture and comedy, focusing on how K-von had to turn to the non-profit ‘Turning Point’ to assist in getting him back on certain comedy shows which people had previously protested to have canceled.  They confer on the ‘woke religion’ we currently find ourselves in covering topics about soccer player Megan Rapinoe, country music pushback, backlash with brands like Bud Light and Target, and into politics with specifics concerning President Biden.

Adam welcomes comedian Kim Congdon as they review Kim’s stand-up trajectory and how she left college to pursue comedy.  She divulges her fun adventures during covid that almost lead to an engagement, until comedy called her back to the real world.  She blasts specific comedy clubs and how comedians are treated, recommending comedians unionize,  resulting in Adam offering to bring her pizza on the picket lines in support.

Adam begins his show with Chris as they discuss Adam’s recent yearly visit to Monterey for one of the most memorable car gatherings in the world.  They also discuss recent news, starting with news anchor, Sage Steele as she recounts a questionable encounter with Barbar Walters on ‘The View’ years previous.  They also deliberate Spain winning the World Cup and an incident that occurred afterwards with soccer player Jenni Hermoso and Spanish soccer chief Luis Rubiales.

Adam welcomes back comedian Orny Adams as they discuss an array of subjects local to LA from crime, to restaurants and old articles from Adam and Steve Martin concerning their thoughts on this complicated metropolis.  Plus, they cover the nuances of ‘conspiracy theorists’ today and why Orny believes we’re currently in a Civil War.

Adam welcomes back notable comedian Brad Williams for a wild ride with stories about wives punching men in their sleep, ayahuasca imaginings, and Adam with a hilarious dating story from his youth.  They volley various amusing stories about people who never take responsibility,  and we learn about a time that Adam had to wear a helmet to and from his office because of a maniacal bird.

Adam welcomes back prodigious defense lawyer and friend Mark Geragos, where they converse over some updates about The Menendez Brothers, and some other local LA issues involving local government policies.  Next UFC fighter turned stand-up comedian, Brendan Schaub joins Adam and they explore the unique path of having a fighting career and how that transitioned to being a comedian.  Next, Adam welcomes the incomparable Ami Horowitz for some meaningful conversations on race and specific narratives in our current cultural climate.  Ami has an impressive story from his youth at summer camp and how that shaped his life then and in the future.  Ami introduces a great addition to the ‘Jimmy Johnson Have Some Asthma Award’.

Former weathercaster and comedian Fritz Coleman joins Adam on the show today, as they discuss the wild, non-linear paths that our lives can take. Fritz was offered the weatherman position, a job he kept for 40 years in Los Angeles, all because of a night that he did a stand-up show. Plus, Adam has a great story from his youth of a creative way that he’d make money, just so he could go see a movie at a classic Hollywood movie theater.

Adam welcomes the co-creator of “American Gladiators” Johnny Ferraro to discuss the making of his hit reality tv show, and to get into the nitty gritty of the recent documentaries about that memorable franchise.  They discuss how the title was created, the blood, sweat and tears to get the show made, and how friendships were lost and gained.  Adam and Johnny lament about how many documentaries take creative liberties at the expense of the truth.
