Adam says he’s excited to speak to Cliff Averre, the lost mentor of his childhood, otherwise known as Cuzzi and Adam talks about the “time capsule” impression he has of Adam, no booze nor time nor anger can alter it.
Adam is recalling how he first met the man, as discussed on ACS #1738 this year.
Adam is now quoting his wife and how she says everyone likes her and thinks he’s an asshole and he talks about the difficulties in being the nice guy and being the boss.
Adam is recalling the time his nanny got pissed about him wrapping up their call about her being late, he didn’t have time to waste with courtesy.
Adam says Cliff was around when Adam has nothing but time.
They fire up some ‘Good Girls Don’t’ by The Knack and Adam asks Chris Maxipada if he’s familiar with the song.
Adam says the whole album was good but it was dwarfed by their hit ‘My Sharona’ and everyone gives some light commentary, Adam is a sucker for light up tempo late 1970’s pop.
Adam wants to just enjoy this for another 30sec.
They play another song from their debut album, this is pretty solid.
Adam is now riffing about tomato soup and how it’s a flawed soup as it requires a grilled cheese sandwich, Adam is telling them about the perfect storm of sick kids he’s got at the house.
Adam is sharing how Natalia woke up sick at 6am and he describes how Philly Cheesesteak who always must sleep on Natalia’s bed and he explains that Sonny is in charge of waking him up to take him outside to pee.
Adam is commenting on how he spends his life telling people the same things over and over, Natalia called Olga on her own and told her to come by, wow!
Adam is back to his conversation with Sonny asking him why he didn’t take the dog out, Adam had to pick up his dook (dookie).
Gina brings up childhood illnesses that don’t seem to be around now, Adam goes to a live read.

He’d been “ass’assing” them for years and had his assistant spend 4 days searching to restore them, I could do it in an afternoon.
Q and Ace
1st Caller Cliff ‘Cuzzi’ Averre, Adam welcomes him to the show and asks him how they first met each other, Cliff has some great insight and explains why he would meditate outside.
Cliff shares how the kids would joke about meditating and Adam says he loves kids and misses being one.
Adam asks how many games of basketball they played across the street and if he ever met his parents, Cliff tells them about working as custodian and how he would get shit for playing with the kids, he would show up a half hour early to play Basketball with the kids and stay late if he played too long.
Cliff has a great reply he gave when confronted about how he spent his free time.
Adam is asking him how old he was when Cliff met him, he shares how he wasn’t that conscious of their ages and tells them about his square fiat, that broke down at 32k miles.
Hilarious “it wants to go back to Italy” reply from a mechanic as quoted by Cliff.
Cliff tells them about hitting a cow with his car, Adam does recall the novelty of that story.
Cliff explains he would bring peaches sometimes and Adam shares how Cliff was 24 at the time, someone told him that, not from memory.
Adam asks if he did this with subsequent kids or if they were the only ones, he says they were a special group of regulars and Adam struck him as more mature than the other guys.
Cliff says he was a blast to play with.
Gina asks if he was aware of Adam’s celebrity and success and he tells them about relocating to Tahoe in 1979 and lost track with everyone.
Cliff is telling them about his brother in The Knack and how he taught himself how to play music and went from the least disciplined person to a guitarist who practiced every day.
Cliff further tells them about his observations of Adam and who he was growing up, Adam wraps up the call and invites him to come by and visit the show.
Adam says this is why his parents were such pieces of shit, he talks about buying Chris’s father Rick a TV set and how he told his dad Jim he should’ve been the one buying it to pay him back for all the times he took care of Adam.
Gina asks about Adam’s parents after he delivers a killer one liner.
2nd Caller Rick, he brings up the Russell Simmons interview and how he was very interested by the guy.
Adam says he disagrees with 50% of his politics but finds him very compelling too.
Rick brings up Adam’s movies and he wants to know if Adam would ever consider hiring another actor to play the male lead.
Adam says that if Joel McHale would like to star in the next one, he’ll do it, tap him on the shoulder the day before filming and he’ll still give up the role.
Gina brings up the early criticism of the first cut of ‘Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman’ and how he cut himself out of the movie without ego.
Rick tells them about meeting Nate Adams and how they finally performed a Carolla’ectomy and BB says there were only 1-2 lines, 4 actually.
Adam says they are working on more documentaries and BB comments on divorcing himself from the emotional attachment.
Adam says the one thing his parents did that was positive is that he dislikes himself so much he can easily cut himself out of a project without feeling badly.
3rd Caller Travis, he compliments Cliff and how he sounds like a great guy.
Travis says that everything Adam says on the podcast is true, BB laughs and Adam is talking about standing in the middle of situations and seeing both sides.
Adam is talking about things he doesn’t reveal, he talks about keeping secrets of celebrities and people he doesn’t know, he talks about telling the truth to Kevin Smith on the show.
Adam is making further points about being honest and gives a great Dorothy Hamell haircut analogy he’s given many times before, Gina helps him out and they move on.
4th Caller Chris, he’s calling about the Nuremberg Ring but also is under the assumption he’s going to get a chance to speak, he wants to know about renting an exotic car.
Adam wraps up with him and thanks him, he doesn’t address the question as Rich as arrived.

Adam was wrong about The Patriots and he talks about their field goal they never took to win the game, Adam is sharing why North Carolina won and how he predicted both, he got 0 tweets about the team he was right about, funny.
Just like the “Luv Me Some Cruz” line gets angry tweets but the multiple “I Love Bernie Sanders as a Human Being, he’s a great person” comments get no feedback, not from the left nor from the right.
They head to break.
They’re back from break with a listener voicemail, he brings up a commercial he dislikes and Adam jokes about Lynette being so into that one he’s tuned it out.
Adam has seen the ad a million times and didn’t notice the gaff.

Adam gives out the plugs for Rich and tells everyone how good he is on his feet, improv wise, he comes from a standup background.
He talks about doing a live ACS and taping an episode of @Midnight.
Adam is using Lynn Swann as a comparison for Rich who has a ton of facts about Lynn, he now takes it to the Super Bowl and how it’s going to start in day time and end at night, the old school environment and feeling.
Adam is talking about a conversation he had with Mr. Mike about the last decade of lucky Super Bowls, very competitive games.
Adam is commenting on the crazy barn burners over the past 10 years.
Rich is now commenting on Gary Kubiak and the legacy of blow outs, he is dropping facts like crazy.
Adam is back to the conversation with Mr. Mike and Adam predicted that Carolina was going to blow out Denver this year.
Adam is saying how weird it is to see the New England Patriots so flat, Rich is doing his thing and they’re going very in depth with NFL chat, talking about Aaron Rodgers, Rich says that Packers game was the best game of the playoffs until the patriot’s game and the last minute loss.
Adam is talking about punters and hail Mary accuracy would eventually decline with experience due to the random nature of the necessity and the inability to practically drill for it.
Adam is now asking Rich about the commercial, they’re playing it and everyone comments on the logic, Adam isn’t bumped by it and Dawson only picks on the artificially added feedback.
Rich is now weighing in and explaining how people can get annoyed by his advertisements for Courtyard by Marriott, Adam says those spots are funny and compares them stadium food.
Adam is saying that someone figured out they should try to make commercials like the ones Rich do actually funny.
Adam is talking about the Marriott spots and how they don’t feel overthought, he likes the negative element and now he gives out a plug for Rich’s show.
Adam will be on the show the Tuesday after the super bowl.
Rich is telling them about raising the goal posts for college games, Rich is explaining how the controversy rules as with NCAA rules the entire ball must be inside the uprights 100%.
Rich is telling them about Duke’s win and how they deserved it after their loss to Miami and that bizarre game full of strange calls.
Adam is now talking about the variety of options they have, to raise it now, or wait 15yrs and waste time and then raise it.
Rich shares how Adam influenced Bob Kraft on his show and the uprights were raised just that year.
Adam is now riffing about the rich guy shirts with mismatched collars and cuffs, the white on blue rich guys thing.
Gary is now on mic with the regulations for College vs. NFL uprights, 5ft of difference and Rich further insists Adam got the rule changed, Adam finally says “you never know what gets something done” and is now riffing about Terrell Owens insane athleticism dunking on the goalposts in full pads mid game.

Gary has the clip of T.O. dunking on the uprights, Adam is doing some live commentary and Rich talks about T.O. coming by his show recently and he swapped shirts with him, T.O. was chiseled and shirtless.

1st Story is on an Indian Councilman who was sworn in while behind bars, Gina has the details of the alleged murder and arrest.
Adam smells a sitcom and jokes about the rule where they can’t oust him until he’s officially charged and convicted.
2nd Story is on Khloe Kardashian’s report on Lamar Odom’s short term memory problems, Adam jokes about faking the same symptoms if he was last aware doing coke with prostitutes at a whore house.
Hilarious riff about not being able to remember their anniversary.
Rich asks if Adam would accept a facetime from a Kardashian, for an interview.
Adam calls them the greatest Americans we have; they don’t do anything but they’re hugely successful.
3rd Story are on the new bans for high school chants for sporting events.
Adam is now asking what happens if one side has the spirit, are they allowed to reply.
Adam says you can’t un-ring that air ball, hilarious janitor ball assault one liner.
Adam talks about how long an air ball lives among a crowd, Adam jokes about having an airballer on retainer for his team, to immediately throw and air ball after Adam to then make him no longer the target of attention and snickering.

Gina says that Tinder now allows you to find the nearest STD clinic.
5th Story is on the new McDonalds ‘McChoco Potato’ option, Adam is talking about McDonalds opening up their breakfast menu and how they’ve made millions as a result, they left cajillions on the table for years, why!?
Adam jokes about the Japanese trying to fully embrace Americanism and fill out our jeans with obesity now too.
Rich is now dropping some Japanese player names and shares a funny anecdote.
Adam asks Rich where he’s going to be physically during the game, he’s going to watch it as a Civilian in the stands and not doing the post-game, someone else is doing that.
Adam comments on him having that Courtyard money and not needing to do it.
Rich tells them about the realistic schedule of talking football, he talks about how great everyone is on the NFL show with Deion Sanders, Brandon Marshall, the other dude, everyone but Rich.
Rich has a great baseball anecdote about Deion and his legacy.
Adam is asking about the move to Inglewood for the NFL network, Adam jokes about him being desperate to get out to Inglewood CA.
