Adam's Path to the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
Adam's first stab at show business was the Acme Theater doing sketch and improv. And also building out the theater itself.
Boxing instructor Adam Carolla took a long shot and called into KROQ to train "Michael the Maintenance Man" for his on-air boxing match against "Jimmy the Sports Guy". Fate stepped in and Adam ended up training Jimmy Kimmel and a lifelong friendship and partnership was born.
On Jimmy's suggestion Adam created a character to call into the popular KROQ morning Show "Kevin and Bean". Using his knowledge of carpentry, the incredibly popular woodshop teacher Mr. Birchum took L.A. radio by storm.
Dr. Drew Pinsky wanted Mr. Birchum to co-host on the already established Loveline. But when Adam chose to co-host as himself the show became more popular than ever.
Loveline was such a big hit on the radio MTV created a TV version of it.
Adam, Jimmy Kimmel and producer Daniel Kellison formed Jackhole productions and launched the Man Show on Comedy Central. The show would run for 4 seasons.
Based on a mutual love of prank calls, Adam and Jimmy co-created Crank Yankers for Comedy Central. Adam reprised his Mr. Birchum character for the show.
Adam got his own shot at late night with "Too Late", which followed "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central for two seasons.
After Howard Stern left terrestrial radio for satellite Adam took over most of his affiliates on the west coast.
While hosting the morning show (and also having his twins) Adam wrote, produced and starred in the independent movie about a down-and-out boxer.
Adam leaned into the fear that came up when offered Dancing with the Stars. He only lasted four weeks but his Paso Doble on a unicycle is still one of the greatest - and most controversial - moments in DWTS history.
After KLSX flipped formats and the morning show ended, Adam kept connected with his fans by immediately launching "The Adam Carolla Podcast" from his home. Still a fledgling format Adam became "the Podfather" by integrating ads, expanding and innovating the format.

Adam personally built out a new studio in a warehouse containing scrap wood, vintage cars, Man Show memorabilia and his friend's minibikes to produce the show and bring back in elements of the morning radio show that were fan favorites - like newsgirl Teresa Strasser and classic bits like "What Can't Adam Complain About?"
The podcast became the Guiness World Record holder for "Most Downloaded Podcast" taking the title from Ricky Gervias.
Adam found himself on the New York Times Bestseller list for a second tie with his autobiography.
No one could have predicted that when Adam decided to do "The Celebrity Apprentice" he would get fired by a future President.
