Show Summary

Adam opens the show complaining about Lynette being out of town at a very stressful time. He also rants about the phone lines at his house not working, and the sad decline of his dog Molly’s health. Friend of the show Cassius then calls in to follow up on his recent on air interview with Rob Corddry. Adam also jumps to the phones and talks about The Adam Carolla Project, and a recent awkward conversation with his mom.

Norman Lear is in studio next, and Adam talks with him about his legendary television-producing career. Adam shares his love of All in the Family, and how all of Norman’s shows helped him through his depressing childhood. Adam then asks Norman about his combat missions in World War II. Later they discuss intellectual debates behind the scenes, and the brilliance of Carroll O’Connor. As the show wraps up, the gang discusses how to handle times of pain and struggle.
