Jay Mohr and Russ Roberts

[powerpress]

Show Summary

At the top of the podcast, Adam recalls a recent visit to Malibu. The guys then talk more about price gouging during a time of desperation, and Adam explains why he typically will take the opposite viewpoint of a politician. Economist Russ Roberts then calls in and talks further with Adam about how supply and demand is affected by natural disasters. They also discuss how to incentivize people, and the situation in Venezuela. Later, Adam shares his observations about soda cans, and takes fan phone calls about doing shows in Australia, why cops and firefighters retire young with lots of money, and more thoughts on price gouging.
Jay Mohr is in studio next, and the guys talk about their upcoming Live Show together which will air as an episode of Mohr Stories this Monday. Jay then tells a story about an eccentric high school teacher, and chats with Adam about his place in Malibu. Jay then does an incredible Droopy Dog impression, and Adam shows him a clip of The Specialist. As the show wraps up, Gina reads news stories about Richard Simmons possibly coming out of seclusion, statistics about the age of new fathers, and Jay does a great Tony Bennett impression.
