Show Summary
Adam opens the pod with sad news that Gina Grad’s father passed away. While Gina is out for a couple days, Bald Bryan and Adam keep the show going with some new submissions for Rich Man, Poor Man. Adam also comments on some Tweets he liked about diversity in hiking, Tin Horn Flats getting shut down, great boxing matches from the 1980s, and thoughts on M*A*S*H. Before the break, Adam takes calls for a hilarious round of Who The F Sells This S.
Adam welcomes Wayne Federman to the podcast next, and the guys do a deep dive into the world of standup. They begin by discussing the difficulty in comparing great standups due to subjectivity, and also talk about taking and teaching comedy classes. The guys then discuss the life of Mark Twain, and other notable figures in the early days of comedy that lead to modern day standup. Since Gina is out, Dawson enters the studio to read news stories about recalling Gavin Newsom, a guy who got kicked off a plane after peeing in his seat, Deshaun Watson’s allegations of sexual misconduct, a woman who claims to have had children with a rollercoaster, and the passing of Marvelous Marvin Hagler.
