Show Summary
Adam opens today’s pod talking to Bryan and Gina about the new Showtime docu-series, ‘The Kings’, which profiles boxing champions like Tommy Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard. The guys also discuss Brady Bunch singalongs, as well as the intellectual honesty of Bill Maher. Later, the guys take listener calls about NASA, the FBI, and the exciting world of car salesmen. Before the break, Adam shows off a confusing freeway sign he came across.
Part 2 opens with sad news of the passing of actor Ned Beatty, which eventually leads to a conversation about the legacies of Richard Prior and Steve Martin. Gina also reads news stories about the celebrity boxing match between Lamar Odom and Aaron Carter, the Westminster Dog Show, and a restaurant in Ohio making Cicada pizzas. Later, Adam is reminded of a moment he had with Natalia, and Gina reads a couple more stories about an out of control car at a mud racing event, and a Slip N Slide TV show pausing production after the crew came down with explosive diarrhea. As the show wraps up, Adam has a 1-on-1 conversation with Teofimo Lopez about boxing since the age of six, social media stars mixing it up in the ring, representing Honduras, what his prep is like the day of a match, his thoughts on his favorite classic fights, finding your ‘why’, and knowing your true self amongst the hype.
