14 Jul Ted Cruz & Michael Knowles
Show Summary
At the top of the show, Adam talks about stadium food and off-brand clothing, which leads to a conversation about swamp coolers and poor people mentality. The guys then take calls about defunding the police, and LAUSD not opening in fall. Gina follows up with news stories about California’s re-opening rolling back once again, as well as the deaths of Kelly Preston and Naya Rivera. Other stories include the first female joining the Green Berets, a chess champ’s YouTube channel being pulled for containing ‘harmful dangerous content’, and a McDonald’s customer in trouble for attacking a seagull that tried to get his food. Before the break, Adam rants about people who don’t use their turn signals.
Adam sits down with Ted Cruz one-on-on for Part 2 of today’s podcast. The conversation opens with talk about Ted’s knowledge of the law, and how politicians have shifted away from saying that they love America. They also discuss the problems with socialism and wanting to control people, the terrible political situation in China, and trying to help people get back to work instead of trapping them to be reliant on the government. Later they talk about the importance of having a reliable education, the need for competition in the school system, and Democrats becoming the party of elites. Other topics of conversation include progressives finding oppression everywhere, and the dangers of mob violence. In the last part of the show, Ted’s podcast co-host Michael Knowles enters the studio to comment on their love of Dennis Prager, playing basketball against Jimmy Kimmel, and the loss of irony in our society.
