Show Summary

Adam welcomes Scott Aukerman to the podcast right at the top of the show. The guys talk about the making of ‘Between Two Ferns’, and working with the mysterious Zach Galifianakis. Adam also asks Scott about his background, and how Bob Odenkirk helped him get his big break. The guys then chat about making your way through show business, and some of Scott’s experiences working as a costumed character at Disneyland. Later they discuss the pros and cons of Netflix, the history of Comedy Bang Bang, and trying to make an impression in today’s entertainment landscape.

Up next, Adam complains about Dr. Drew not listening to him during their podcasts together. The guys then take phone calls about getting kicked out of Adam’s performance for filming, and having a career in carpentry. RJ Bell then calls in to talk about the first week of NFL action, and of course the Week 2 RJ’s Parlay. From there, Adam talks with another fan about field goal kicking.

Gina begins the news talking about Artie Lange clean and sober after 7 months of rehab. They also discuss Kevin Hart’s car accident, how erectile dysfunction can predict strokes and heart attacks, and a mom arrested for a DUI after her daughter filmed her drunk driving. As the show wraps up, the guys play a clip from the upcoming Roast of Alec Baldwin, and discuss the idea of J. Lo performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

‘Between Two Ferns: The Movie’ is available on Netflix starting September 20th. You can also visit http://earwolf.com for more info on Scott, and follow him on Twitter @ScottAukerman.
