Show Summary

At the top of the show, Adam shows Bald Bryan a picture that Brad Williams sent in of a homeless person setting up a tent in the middle of the street. The guys then take calls about Tupperware, housing discrimination PSAs, cooking Polish food, ‘zero tolerance’, and someone purchasing an NFT fart. Dawson then returns to fill in for the news while Gina is out. Stories include John Kerry’s mask-less photo, Rand Paul’s spar with Dr. Fauci, the crowd capacity during March Madness, people changing their names to Salmon to get free seafood, and Paul Stanley’s new soul album.

Comedian Nate Bargatze sits down with Adam to talk about his new Netflix special, incorporating his real life into his standup, and what his upbringing was like. Adam then asks Nate how he ended up making a career out of standup, and the guys go on to discuss ‘imposter syndrome’, the way other comics interact with one another, and having attainable goals for the future. Later they chat about the problems of making comedy by committee, taping Nate’s new special outdoors during COVID, and touring the country in a bus. As the show wraps up, Adam asks Nate about putting the next hour of material together.

Nate Bargatze’s new stand-up special, ‘The Greatest Average American’, is available now on Netflix.
