30 Aug Mark Thompson and Matt Dubiel
Adam opens the show just after rummaging through a bunch of old files from his past. He pulls out some items of interest, and recalls a story involving a trip to Magic Mountain with his Catholic Little Brother, Nate. The guys also look through an itinerary of Adam and Dr. Drew’s 1998 college tour, and talk about Mark Geragos having to attend to Chris Brown during a podcast recording. Mark Thompson then calls in, and talks about how the talk radio landscape has changed over the years. They also talk about his epic Christmas parties, and the return of ‘The Mark and Lynda Podcast’. Before the break, Gina shows Adam a disturbing photo, and Adam takes a fan phone call about advice on buying a sectional sofa.
Matt Dubiel calls in next, and Adam chats with him about Loveline airing on his Chicago station Q101. Matt then talks about his new crowdfunding project to create a listener driven FM radio channel, and his experiences working in Chicago terrestrial radio. Later, Adam talks about his recent conversation with Steven Bochco, and Bald Bryan reviews ‘Hell or High Water’ for this week’s Baldywood. As the show wraps up, Gina reads news stories about Chris Brown, and the new cast of Dancing with the Stars.
