Show Summary
Adam opens the show with an interesting take who should be allowed to play the lottery. Dawson reads a new study out of Texas about distracting freeway signs leading to more accidents. Then, Adam remembers an interaction he had with a police officer who pulled his crew over when they were going to Monterey. Dawson reads another article about homeless Covid deaths vs overdose deaths. After that, the gang talks to a caller wanting some advice about getting back into the dating scene. We play a clip of Nic Cage on Jimmy Kimmel Live talking about his pet crow. Before the break, they take some more calls about Max Baer Jr., an explanation of how Chris Laxamana got his money stolen on the way to his bachelor party, and a woman who says Adam is her “safe space”.
Comedian Kurt Metzger joins the show and talks about getting a jaywalking ticket in San Diego. Then, Adam asks Kurt about growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness. After that, Kurt talks about getting his start in stand-up comedy. Adam brings up the David Brenner book Nobody Ever Sees You Eat Tuna Fish, which leads the gang to weigh in on the cheap sandwiches their parents would make for them growing up. Gina reports on today’s news including: Updates on the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial, Sharon Osbourne commenting on why Whoopi didn’t get fired from The View, and a new romantic comedy starring Celine Dion.
