Adam opens the show ranting about the pointless freeway lightboard signs in LA, and extra ‘Fastpass’ lanes he doesn’t want to pay for. He also talks about the editing process of Road Hard, and getting cool helicopter shots for his Newman doc. Next up, the guys take a fan phone call about a father-son road trip, which Adam can hardly fathom. Adam also gives a high school science teacher some advice, and talks with the group about the Caller ID of life.
After the break, Alison opens the news discussing the US victory over Ghana in the first round of the World Cup. Greg Fitzsimmons is also in studio, and the guys share their experiences performing in Addison, Texas and traveling the country in general. Later they discuss the death of All-Star Tony Gwynn, and children who were hurt during a Civil War reenactment. As the show wraps up, the guys joke around about Vietnam War reenactments, and listen to a very bizarre song from that era.
