Drew opens hour 2 with the get it on intro, Orlando loses it and references the ‘T-Rex’ song, but it comes from Adam’s love of ‘Blood Sweat and Tears’ and Drew promises a reunion of him and Adam after next week’s shows with Dr. Bruce.
Drew asks Orlando about living in Wilmington North Carolina for filming ‘Sleepy Hollow’ and Drew brings up the Loveline episodes recorded from Wilmington while they guested on ‘Dawson’s Creek’ and Drew is now explaining the bed and breakfast they stayed in, he’s of course missing many, many details.

Drew gets the staff to say that Adam now looks older, Drew looks the same, and Drew says Adam looks aged.

Drew is going in depth on homes in North Carolina and Orlando’s current living situation, he’s now explaining the premise of the documentary he’s made.
Orlando is having his producing partner explain the premise ‘The 5 Powers’ and the comic book history of it to Drew and the audience.
Drew references ISIS and Orlando shares his belief in the change you want to see being within you, Drew is now asking for more details about his grandfather, Orlando shares the story of when he tried to leave the house as a young man.
Orlando shares how he was forced to stand outside naked when a girl he liked drove past, he’s describing the scene and the crazy extremes his father took this to.
Orlando reveals he was 11 at the time and Drew makes a point about higher brain function and how Orlando’s dad was right in this department.
1st Caller Hessel, he is sharing his difficulty in talking to women, he’s unable to “close” and now Orlando is asking some follow up questions.
Hessel almost has “Kenneth Speech” the skull thief from Classic Loveline, it’s remarkable.

They’re back from break.
Orlando shares the story behind his multicultural emoticon company, Drew is asking follow ups about them and he gives a plug for the company.
They’re going in depth on Richard Pryor who is one of the icons used for the emoticons, Drew calls his work poetry and then slags on Carlin saying his stuff is dated, yeah right…
Orlando and Richard are now sharing their favorite bits and talking about their favorite albums, his earliest stuff, they say work your way up to wanted and then don’t skip ahead to live on the sunset strip for a while.
Orlando brings up the Richard Pryor show that had 8 episodes on CBS, they’ve now transitioned to Andy Kaufman and how the ‘Mighty Mouse’ album came from his buddy.
2nd Caller Aleena, she calls Orlando ‘Mr. Jones’ and then asks if he’s a doctor as well, what a Complisult, she wants to know about long distance relationships and shares an her own experience.
She wants to know if they can wish Jared Allen happy birthday on air, she’s apparently written letters asking for this, wow!
Drew is now asking some follow up questions about why she can’t get closer to him now they’re graduated from school that kept them apart.
She wants to know what point they choose to drop the pretense and pick one city to share,
Drew tells her they are adults with money, they can fly to commute.
Drew tells her to have the conversations they need to have.
Drew asks Orlando again about whether or not they’re going to have more kids, he reminds Drew he already asked this question 55min ago.
3rd Caller Chad, he wants to know about marijuana maintenance, he used it to come off of cocaine and alcohol, Drew is now arguing against the perception of pot, how it should be considered the same as using opiates like methadone to come off of heroin.
Chad immediately defends pot saying its way better, while Drew acknowledges the realities of the danger of the other meds he mentioned, that’s not the point, he’s defending Chad’s choice and arguing against conventional wisdom.
Drew asks Chad if his opinion surprises him, he says yes and cites Joe Rogan, Drew tells him to tell Rogan to listen to what he says, instead of guesting on the show I guess…
Drew calls Orlando out on his coconut water, saying it looks like sour cream.
Drew brings up Adrian Peterson and shares his take on how marks being left is the point at which it’s abuse, Orlando shares his father’s theory on physical punishment and anger.
Drew shares the findings of the latest literature on hitting kids and the outcomes down the road.
Orlando is making a point about the why that was involved in his discipline, as opposed to the abuse of some of his peers at the hands of their parents.
Drew is sharing some of the details of the abuse on Adrian’s son and Orlando’s reactions are very interesting.
They’re discussing the NFL decision about Adrian, as it was at the time.
Drew cites these episodes of the Dr. Drew podcast for information about how children’s brains process terror.

Drew shares some details of a patient he once saw, then tells Orlando about working for the west coast division of the NBA and their addiction program.
He reveals that he guys who couldn’t give up the pot are often the ones who make their way to Italy to play basketball.
