Adam opens the show with another “name for his dick” intro and thanks the fans for their support, BB plays a new drop from Tim Conway Jr as today’s #TopDrop.

Adam welcomes Lynette and Stefanie to the show, Adam has been on their show in both incarnations, including with Stefanie.

They were previously on promoting ‘For Crying Out Loud’ back in 2011 for ACS #671 Kathleen Madigan, Stefanie Wilder Taylor and Lynette Carolla.

It started out by another name and ran for quite a while with Teresa Strasser, they tried another co-host after she moved to Arizona and then their most popular guest Stefanie came onboard as the 3rd and longest running co-host, the show evolved from a “parenting podcast” to something much more and very special, I’ve heard every episode and you should too!

 

Adam is telling them about another mix-up with Mike August regarding his latest movie ‘Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman’ apparently my email congratulating him after watching it led him to discover it was on Amazon.

He says he was under the impression it was only on iTunes for now, Gary gets on mic to help explains things and Stefanie suggests that maybe I forgot where I bought it.

BB confirms it’s on Amazon, Lynette praises it and Stefanie tells him about enjoying ‘Road Hard’ and now Adam is asking her about doing standup, she’s explaining how being a parent changed her life.

 

Adam plugs her book and Adam jokes about taking a cut from their amazon money, Adam says that Lynette does great impressions and brings up the electric bike surveillance camera footage.

Lynette’s reaction is that of a caring mom and Adam predicts her daredevil nature will only lead to more accidents.

 

Gary is now defending Adam and describing his attempt to get her to stop, Adam is explaining she turned the bike on Adam says that when you get older you see the vision of you taking a spill and suffering.

Adam says his son has that already, it’s a great strategy when it comes to an approach to life overall, his kids are two extremes in opposite directions.

 

Stefanie brings up the story of the time Adam made Sonny ride the rollercoaster, Lynette brings up her concerns for Nate and Sonny traveling home without Adam.

Adam is joking about Stefanie’s need to fret over things she can’t control, she addresses everyone accusing her of instilling neurosis in her kid and dealings with her kid.

Stefanie is articulate in her explanation and is really compelling, Adam is asking her how she would eventually get her daughter to fly.

 

Lynette feels better to hear that Chris Maxipada is returning with Nate and Sonny, Stefanie says she blames her latch key upbringing as why she’s overprotective now, Adam is asking her why she can’t internalize those words and move past that since she’s identified it.

Adam talks about Ray’s 25yrs in therapy and limited evolution (in his eyes) and now Adam is back to the roller coaster story.

Adam concedes that perhaps Stefanie’s daughter is a special case and can be harmed by the beach, Lynette is now walking them through her Mother’s day breakfast in bed.

 

Stefanie asks Adam’s take on the holiday, he says it’s just like Christmas and explains the reason why it’s not any different to him.

BB has an ironic Christmas music bed and now Lynette is asking Adam about celebrating his birthday and how she thinks that having kids makes it important they celebrate it, she wouldn’t care if they were still dating or it was before the kids arrived.

Adam is telling them about Sonny fronting most of the cash for Lynette’s gold bracelet, Lynette leaves out her 100%^ honest take on the bracelet as discussed on her show FCOL.

 

 

Adam is talking about the publicist Lee who offered up Adam possibly guesting on WWE Raw and now Gary is reading Adams’ response to the idea of him holding the Stanley Cup or someone else’s trophy in general.

 

Gina says that just occurred to her and she doesn’t want to do that either, she’s with Ace.

Stefanie has an anecdote about a famous basketball player with leads to a Mrs. Paul fish sticks joke from Ace and some star wars sound effects from BB as the player’s nickname sounds like C-3P0.

Lynette is sharing the details of her email to Mike August and Babydoll Dixon about the need for Adam’s schedule to reduce as it’s stressing him out, she says she felt so bad for him because he missed the private jet with Kimmel for the Pacquiáo fight.

 

Stefanie is asking Adam about his book signings, she says that she had some signings where only two people came, Adam says that a lot of time the store is in the middle of nowhere or it’s scheduled while people are at work.

Lynette is telling them about the two days at the pool in Las Vegas, Adam says that Sonny was pissed about Gronk being at the Mangria event, he’s in the sweet spot where reality doesn’t factor in, and Adam explains how he thinks that he will bump into sports starts in every city he visits.

Lynette thinks he’s behind, BB says no that’s just how kids are and reassures her.

Adam is telling Gina to explain that her dad was on the news after she has a semi-confusing anecdote, Lynette is talking about her son’s love for his stuffies and how he meditates with them each morning.

 

Lynette and Stefanie are lamenting teacher appreciation week, this sounds insane.

They plug their upcoming live show again thanks to BB, Adam is now sharing how he wants to approach this week and would like to pitch a dark history to the school explaining why he can’t participate.

Adam jokes about being raped by a mascot and why he can’t show up for twin day, his twin died, good stuff!

Q and Ace

1st Caller Arnie, Lynette comments on Adam reading and he explains he was basically illiterate when they first met and she brings up his first computer he would use to browse the Loveline message boards all of the time back in the mid 90’s.

I presume she means the Loveline Companion, which ended after they did what all Adam Carolla related online forums eventually do, turn on him and the people closest to him.

Adam explains how he overcame his fear regarding live reading and had to read from a teleprompter in front of 20k people.

 

Lynette is sharing the question about parental learning disabilities for the kid’s school, Adam tells her if she gets too hard of a time tell them that he’s thinking of buying a school and firing their ass.

Arnie is now back on the line and wants to know why Adam gave up ‘Ricockulous’ and tells him about being from Kirkland, he reminds Adam it was a ‘Godfather’s Pizza’ where he performed.

Arnie will always be the #2 or #3 biggest fan from Kirkland, Lynette tells them about her kids falling in love with the BB soundboard app and he explains why he doesn’t like to use Anderson’s drops.

Adam goes off on the KLSX ACS drops of Christina Dolce and how awful she was, “Don’t be a one upper.”

 

2nd Caller Mark wants to know about Adam’s theory on Patrick Dempsey’s exit from ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and Adam asks Lynette about Patrick living down the street from his house back in the day.

Adam is telling them about the time he took Patrick to the Hollywood Home Depot and bought him tools, Stefanie wants to know if they’re still friends and now Adam is explaining his theory.

Stefanie is now picking up on Adam’s theory and Lynette shares her theory on ‘Modern Family’ and how perhaps they pick up on material from the ACS.

 

Adam explains the parallel thought element and the other side of the coin of former and longtime fans filtering his consent, Stefanie is giving her take on comedy premises and accusations of theft, Adam agrees.

Adam says he also hates the terms “stale” and “worn out” used to describe premises, Adam says that everything is fucked out and that’s not a valid complaint, fresh angles are important.

Stefanie shares her reaction to her shitty reviews and the 1 star “tropes” review she received.

Stefanie and Adam are in agreement about children’s birthdays.

Adam is further lamenting the experience with the guide and how he didn’t want to cut in line.

 

Lynette is explaining the nature of the service and how it’s worth it if you’re traveling with a large family, Adam plugs their free live show and Lynette plugs Mangria, nice.

I hope Lynette and Stefanie come back every few months, 4 years was far too long between visits.

 

They’re back from break with another clip of the most recent Take a Knee with Joe Mantegna.

Adam is talking about the vibe of Joe and what a great guy he is, he compliments his incredible daughter, citing her autism and interesting abilities.

Adam is now explaining how his kids will eventually turn and get mad at him, if he did have a child with a disability they would never turn on them, they would have the loving relationship for the rest of their lives.

 

Adam says that people tell you about enjoying your kids when they’re in the sweet spot of 6-10 before your kids evolve and go through necessary changes regarding feelings towards their parents.

Adam is now making a beautiful point about never reversing the role of parent and caretaker with a disabled child.

Adam says that Roddy is on his way and is now explaining how Jimmy Kimmel paid for Roddy to show up for his Cousin Sal’s birthday party and ordered in some Chick-fil-A and jokes about his intent for doing so.

Gina’s News

1st Story is on JKL’s repeat airing in honor of David Letterman’s last show, Gina plays a clip of Jimmy giving a speech about his love for David Letterman.

Adam explains that one of Jimmy’s biggest laments in life was Adam doing Letterman before him, Adam talks about the time where Jimmy was bumped for his first appearance, and Adam explains how he hoped to be bumped for his first time.

Adam was told that someone had to fill in for Biff and hold the curtain for him, Adam is asking people to adjust their tones as they can freak you out by being serious when it’s not a very big deal.

 

Adam recalls his two appearances, first in 1999 and then again in 2005.

Adam explains his feelings and how he was worried for Jimmy and lacks the “crazed fan switch” explaining his theory on how black comedians wouldn’t bring it on his morning show, a reduced speed/mode as they presumed their fan base wasn’t listening.

Adam is explaining how he knew that Jimmy was watching and didn’t want to let him down most off all, Adam is talking about all of the live shows he did with Dr. Drew and cites their many visits to The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show (Audience Member’s Nappy Dugout Poem on Valentines Episode in 1998).

 

2nd Story is on the end of ‘American Idol’ and Adam compliments on how much Paula and Randy were able to sock away for this nothing gig over the years.

Adam is commenting on the light lifting of that show, Adam is saying that Simon brought something to the show and they didn’t.

 

3rd Story is on the “white appreciation day” at a Colorado BBQ establishment, Adam is now asking BB about Latino appreciation month and says he doesn’t feel like they get a lot of love.

Adam says this is the guy bringing himself a ton of press, Gina is telling them about the technical two months of Latino appreciation.

Roddy is now joining them in studio, Adam is giving out some plugs and they welcome him to the show.

 

Adam is now asking him what he got paid to come choke out Cousin Sal on his 30th birthday, Roddy is recounting the experience.

 

Roddy explains how Jimmy motivated him to do it, he remembers getting a bottle of scotch and now Adam is referencing how incredible Roddy’s story is and plugs his podcast.

Adam is asking him about his upbringing and he tells them about his origins Saskatoon.

He’s sharing an anecdote about being beat in school and then beat at home, Roddy is telling them about the working dogs and the time he got hit by a pickup truck.

 

Roddy wants to tell a story but is cautious as he doesn’t want to offend anyone, Roddy is telling them about a little girl who was his buddy and how they fell into a body of water and how he was accused of rape for trying to dry off with said girl.

Adam jokes about hooked on methadone learning cassettes and now Roddy is telling them about a method learning he was taught that had to do with memorization more than phonics.

BB plays the “what are you talking about drop!?” from Sonny.

 

Roddy tells Adam he wanted to be a doctor and Adam says he wanted to be an astronaut, tough shit.

Adam is now asking him how big he was at 15 when eh got into wrestling, he tells them about getting into the bagpipes and Adam brings up Jonathan from KoRn and his bagpipes skills.

Roddy is talking about how bagpipes are among the most respected instruments on earth and every funeral features the bagpipes, he jokes about them not being appreciated around Adam’s studio.

 

Adam is now riffing about the Honky-tonk Man and Roddy claims he allegedly tried to by his name and shares his real name.

Roddy has an old secondhand anecdote, Adam is now asking him how he went from his humble beginnings to the top of the WWF

“The best thing that’s ever happened to me!” – Adam

Adam is back to Roddy’s journey, from amateur wrestling to the pros, he explains how he had never seen a match and his bagpipers played him in.

Roddy says it was the father of Mr. Perfect who he faced that night, Adam is now riffing about Mr. Perfect and jokes about him failing history in school.

 

Adam talks about the most insulting move of a teacher holding you after class demanding to know who did your above average work as it’s not plausible you did it.

Roddy is back to his journey and how he broke his nose, Adam jokes about a bloody tampon.

Roddy is now explaining how that match led to the next one, he says he didn’t get a social security card until 19 and now Adam is asking him about his family back home who were seemingly absent.

 

Roddy doesn’t know if his parents are alive or dead, Adam says he has a similar relationship with his family and BB calls back with the Christina Dolce drops.

Adam is now back to his traumatic separation form his parents.

Adam has a great Canadian name drop and asks about the 2nd deputy asking his dad what happened to his kid.

 

Adam is talking about the early days of wrestling that Roddy was a part of, Adam is now describing a ’60 Minutes’ piece on the strip club ‘Scores’ and now Adam is commenting on how weird it is that mafia and organized crime carried into the modern era of the late 90s.

Adam is now back to the ball turret gunner the always thinks about with the limited technology that protects you from the outside world, Adam is describing how there weren’t roll bars in the same era of racing, we had ball turrets but no simple safety measures.

Adam is asking Roddy how they would find thieves among wrestlers, Roddy’s telling them about a guy who used to carry the money, Adam says that “Arnie” is a name that intimated you in wrestling, he needs no flash to be scary, scary Arnie.

 

Roddy is telling them about the story of Billy Whitewolf and how they caught him literally red handed, which led to a shower scalding.

Gina asks if he considered them family after all of his years on the road with them, he tells them about how they “stuffed his bagpipes” and he tells them about being the main event for Vince McMahon Sr.

Roddy is sharing how he discovered his bagpipes were stuffed, BB plays some music for them and now tells the story of the incident.

 

Roddy explains that he was told they didn’t want him anymore and shares how he met Ivan Gene LeBell and considered him a surrogate father.
