13 Sep Gene Simmons and Lisa Lampanelli
At the top of the show, Adam talks to Bald Bryan about his birthday, and the guys discuss their relationships with their dads and kids. Adam then recalls a horrible call screener from the Love Line days, and talks about getting his dog Phil to walk a particular path. Lisa Lampanelli then calls in, and Adam talks with her about her new play, ‘Stuffed’. They also talk more about how your career evolves over time, Adam’s thoughts on playwriting, and Lisa’s success keeping the weight off for five years. Before hanging up, Adam asks Lisa about her dating life.
Next up, Adam takes some fan phone calls, and the guys play a round of the Rotten Tomatoes Game. Adam and Shek then take a call from Ross Tucker during today’s Good Sports segment. Later, Gene Simmons calls in and Adam talks with him about the ‘Gene Simmons Vault’, which is literally the largest box set of all time. The guys also talk about immigration issues, our self-loathing culture, and Gene’s thoughts on the tearing down of confederate statues. In the last part of the show, Gina reads news stories about the Hurricane Harvey and Irma telethons, and Adam talks about climate change and what we choose to teach our kids. As the show wraps up, Gina talks about the new iPhone X and 8.
