Show Summary
Today’s podcast opens with a Tool Tunes discussion. Adam then shares a photo of his recently awarded trophy for the Shelby Doc shattered on the floor, and talks about why he loves Patton Oswalt. Later he gives an update on his rowing machine, and the guys talk about the 76ers floor logo, blind dates, and managing newly acquired wealth. Before the break, the guys try a new recipe for Eat Your Feelings.
Gina reads news stories about Harvey Weinstein, Jussie Smollett, and Snoop Dogg. They also discuss Kobe’s eighth grade yearbook going up for auction, and a new senior version of The Bachelor. Then Ed Calderon enters the studio, and Adam asks him about growing up in Tijuana. They go on to talk about his job working in law enforcement, and his observation that the government doesn’t rule certain parts of Mexico. Other topics of conversation include the danger of cartels, how drugs are crossing our border, and the culture of idolizing the bandit over the hero. Later they discuss the story of El Chapo’s son, trying to stop corruption, and some of the horrible things that Ed has seen south of the border. Before wrapping up the guys chat about how Los Angeles is turning into Mexico, parts of Mexico that are generally safer, and thoughts on the Border Wall.
