Show Summary

Finally, author and former NYPD detective Edward Conlon joins the show to talk about his new podcast, ‘Talk to Me’, where he showcases how the NYPD invented hostage negotiations in the early 1970s. Edward gives his take on the current state of crime in New York and explains how he went from writing for the Harvard Lampoon to working as a beat cop in the South Bronx.
Comedian Don Jamieson joins Adam to talk his new prank phonecall collection, ‘Terrorizing Telemarketers’, he recorded with Jim Florentine. They all dive into old ‘Crank Yankers’ calls before Don tells stories of the time he was a writer for Lisa Lampanelli. Gina Grad reports the news of today including: someone in California winning the $2 billion Powerball jackpot, a meteor destroying a house, Chris Evans being named People magazine’s ‘sexiest man alive’, and USPS warning customers not to use drop boxes.
