Show Summary

Adam welcomes Jo Koy to the studio right at the top of the show, and prepares him for a new entry in the Bung Lu Su musical catalogue. The guys then review their NFL Picks, and riff further on a Made Up Movie from yesterday’s show. Adam also comments on Meryl Streep’s Lifetime Achievement Award speech. Before the break, Adam asks Bung Lu Su to sing along to a new track he heard.

David Bianculli is in studio next, and Adam chats with him about his new book, ‘The Platinum Age of Television’. He talks to David about being a critic for NPR’s Fresh Air, and how great television has become in the last few years. They also discuss how difficult it is to speak about Bill Cosby’s legacy to college students, as well as other films that impact different generations differently. Adam then asks David about some new TV shows to keep your eyes on, and the guys chat about their celebrity crushes growing up.

Gina begins the news with more highlights from the Golden Globes. They also talk about the return of Phil Rosenthal’s travel show, ‘I’ll Have What Phil’s Having’. As the show wraps up, the guys discuss the deaths of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, as well as the new HBO documentary about their relationship.
