Show Summary
Adam opens the show discussing the horrible heat, and incredible amount of damage the sun does. He also talks about spending time with his Mom over the weekend, and the process of having the house he grew up in get torn down. Adam then gives a quick impression of his thoughts on the new Steve Jobs movie, and takes phone calls about his upcoming standup special, and how to perform comedy under emotional distress.
Colin Hanks is in studio next, and Adam talks with him about his new documentary, ‘All Things Must Pass’, which details the rise and fall of Tower Records. The guys also discuss how the internet impacted the music industry, how filming a documentary can surprise you, and the long process of securing interviews and clearing music. Today’s news then begins with a story about the stabbing of a National Guardsman who tackled a terrorist on a train earlier this year. They also discuss Shia LaBeouf’s arrest, the new Burger King menu item that turns your poo green, and the Harvard Debate Club losing a competition to a bunch of prison inmates. As the show wraps up, the guys talk about a college student who successfully made a gourmet restaurant in his dorm room.
