Show Summary
Adam opens today’s show excited to talk to Bryan Cranston. He talks to Bryan and Gina about bringing Sonny with him to the studio today, face masks fines being enforced in Compton, and people resisting the good advice that’s given to them. Sonny then joins the show to talk about being a bad student and why he loves Breaking Bad. Up next, the gang takes a phone call about making the Willy T. Ribbs documentary, and Gina goes on to read news stories about more fighting in the middle east, more on Kayne West, and Uber possibly leaving California. Before the break, they talk about people opting out of the upcoming football seasons, and an obituary that says someone died like a ‘dumbass’.
Bryan Cranston joins Adam for a 1-on-1 interview in Part 2 of today’s podcast. Adam begins by asking Bryan about going public with his Coronavirus diagnosis and helping people by donating blood platelets. Bryan then talks to Adam about the process of choosing which films he wants to do, as well as what he learned from his parents, and measuring success by simply being a working actor. Sonny then gets a chance to ask Bryan questions about ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’, and Bryan asks Sonny questions about his own career aspirations. Other topics of conversation include the evolution of entertaining TV shows, how therapy has helped him, and Bryan’s thoughts on self-esteem. As the show wraps up, they talk about Bryan’s work as a writer and producer, and his new film, ‘The One and Only Ivan’.
