Show Summary
At the top of the show, the staff presents Gina with a bouquet of birthday flowers. Adam then recalls an uncomfortable encounter with Rodney Dangerfield, and the guys watch a clip from Adam’s recent ‘Unprepared’ performance in San Francisco. Adam then gives an update on his New Year’s Resolution to do standup every week, and he explains the difference between ‘got to’ and ‘get to’. Christie Bishop is in studio next, and the guys talk about her new position as an Executive Vice President. From there, everyone participates in a round of ‘Commercial Grade’.
Brad Williams then enters the studio. The guys talk about doing standup across the country while trying to spend time with your spouse. Brad also brags about how much legroom he has on airplanes, and the guys discuss interactions with fans while taking pictures. Gina then begins the news talking about Julian Assange’s prison sentence, which leads to a conversation about the mega rich. They also discuss the shooting at University of North Carolina, and a kid who took himself to prom. As the show wraps up, the group breaks down a new Today Show Café featuring Al Roker’s favorite meals.
