Show Summary

Adam opens the show with Russell Simmons in studio. The guys talk about his new book, ‘The Happy Vegan’, and Adam asks him about adapting to the Vegan lifestyle. Russell then talks about his views on happiness and satisfaction, and why he thinks transcendental meditation is so important. He also shares his views on the Occupy Wall Street movement, and how we are changing society by incarcerating too many people. Russell speaks openly about his experiences using drugs, the current state of hip-hop music, and how Russell interacts with his kids and ex-wife. In the last part of the show, the guys take a fan phone call about a good dad who drinks and smokes a lot, and Bryan asks Russell to explain to Adam why The Beastie Boys are so important.
