Adam opens the show talking about his dad’s birthday, and political initiative commercials with terrible casting. David Wild is also in studio, and the guys discuss the great performers coming out for an upcoming music festival. Adam then takes a couple fan phone calls about the new Willy T. Ribbs doc, and the Colin Kaepernick controversy. Adam also discusses ordering food you don’t want, and reads through some of his Favorited Tweets.
Neil deGrasse Tyson is in studio next, and Adam compliments him on his show, ‘Star Talk’. The guys discuss the awesome list of guest appearances, and rise of geek/nerd culture. They also talk about how the current school system is not preparing our children to innovate, the political nature of our daily interactions, and the future of geo-engineering. Later they talk about evolutionary history and his thoughts on aliens. Adam then asks Neil about his path to success, and Neil discusses how he uses Twitter. As the show wraps up, the guys talk about atheism.
Season 3 of ‘Star Talk with Neil deGrasse Tyson’ premieres Sept 19th at 11pm on National Geographic
