Adam opens the show with more Ray stories from his youth. Adam also comments on the notion that NFL ratings have dropped, and explains why getting everything you want all at once will make you miserable. RJ Bell then calls in, and Adam talks with him about watching the Patriots play, how politics impact the sport, and what the odds are that Trump will be re-elected. Before hanging up, the guys go through this week’s ‘RJs Parlay’.
Lukas Nelson is in studio next, and Adam asks him about his father, Willie, and how he tried to have a normal childhood. The guys also talk about the weed industry, how the music business has changed, and how being on the road can feel like home. Later, Lukas talks about taking inspiration from his father, and writing songs with Lady Gaga for a new movie starring Bradley Cooper. Lukas then plays a song live. In the last part of the show, Gina reads news stories about the latest edition of Kimmel’s ‘Mean Tweets’ bit, more NFL drama, and Anthony Weiner’s jail sentence. As the show wraps up, the guys talk about Tom Wopat’s latest assault charges, and a new study that says Vodka is most likely to lead you to make a bad decision.
