Avi Liberman and Chef Andrew Gruel

Avi Liberman and Chef Andrew Gruel

The show opens with Mike Dawson sitting in for the news and they start by discussing, something surely relatable to our listeners, the lack of signage at the Vegas airport American Express Centurion Lounge for black cardholders. Then they talk about Kevin Costner showing up to their gig this past weekend in Carpinteria, and explore the correlation between horrible people and people who dance unnecessarily. Finally, they read some news including stories about an Air Canada flight attendant snapping on a passenger for requesting a blanket, Southwest airline shifting to assigned seating, and whether or not one of the performers in the Olympic opening ceremony showed his “sack.”

Next, comedian Avi Liberman joins the show to talk about his new book, which details his international adventures doing stand-up comedy during the pandemic. Then they take a look back at a now infamous Adam tweet about Covid and the many “celebrity” reactions, plus they read a 2006 Onion article about Adam’s lack of hosting ability.

Lastly, Chef Andrew Gruel makes his first ACS appearance and quickly settles the corn vs. flour tortilla debate. Then, gives his opinion on which meat makes the best soft taco and what the best sandwich is.
