26 Feb Artie Lange and Johann Hari
Adam opens the show excitedly talking about the success of Road Hard on iTunes, even though the film is only available for pre-order. He also chats about last night’s screening at Phil Rosenthal’s house, and the generosity of all of his friends that are participating in the making and publicizing of the film. Adam then takes a call from Johann Hari, author of ‘Chasing the Scream’, who Adam recently saw on Bill Maher and loved what he had to say. Johann talks about the addiction struggles that his family dealt with, and also how other countries are decriminalizing drugs, and how that is impacting their communities. Adam also takes a fan phone call about cover songs, and he gets into a fight with Bald Bryan about Mick Jagger and David Bowie.
Artie Lange is in studio next, and the guys chat about the gay sex scenes in Brokeback Mountain. The guys also talk about Alec Baldwin, and the ridiculous censorship that all comedians still face to this day. Later they discuss the difficulties of getting through high school, and Adam’s frustration with Bruce Springsteen. Gina then starts the news with the capital murder conviction of the man who killed ‘American Sniper’ Chris Kyle. They also discuss Net Neutrality, and a patent troll case against Apple. As the show wraps up, the gang talks about the latest with Roman Polanski.
