16 Nov Alan Eustace
Adam opens the show talking about daredevils and the incredible story of the guest coming in studio later today. He also discusses the Jaguar event he attended earlier in the week, which included a demonstration of a new virtual reality technology. Adam then rants about the lack of customer service these days, and Bald Bryan reviews the new film ‘Arrival’ for this week’s Baldywood. The guys also predict an especially blow-hardy Oscar’s season with Trump coming in as President. Before the break, Adam takes fan phone calls about smoke detectors, photograph etiquette, and advice on getting your web series more attention.
Alan Eustace is in studio next, and he talks to Adam about his role as VP of Knowledge at Google. The guys then discuss how Alan made the decision to build a space suit and sky dive from 135,000 feet. Alan goes into more detail about the engineering of his mission, and Adam asks him what projects he’s working on next. Other topics of discussion include facing your fears, how to prevent drifting during a free-fall, and how his wife reacted to all of this. Gina then reads news stories about a guy who caught his wife cheating via drone, the Carrie Fisher / Harrison Ford ‘Star Wars affair’, and a Ferrari about to be auctioned off as the most expensive car in history. As the show wraps up, the guys discuss new restrictions on economy seating.
