Show Summary

As the show opens up, Adam talks with Bryan and Gina about his very entertaining interview with Huey Lewis (which will air in Part 2 of today’s show). The guys then discuss the success of ‘Uppity’, and Adam tells a story involving a sad motel, and an even sadder situation involving Brad Williams getting Adam’s steak leftovers. After a round of the Rotten Tomatoes Game, Gina reads news stories about Trump and Bloomberg’s Twitter feud, closing arguments in the Harvey Weinstein trial, and the spread of the Corona virus. Before the break, the guys discuss Lori Louhglin’s upcoming trial, a limited edition beer selling for almost $200 a bottle, and people admitting to having a second pair of shoes to poop at work with.

Huey Lewis is in studio and Adam talks about getting into his car right when a Huey Lewis song came on the radio. Adam asks Huey about playing music and busking his way through Europe, as well as going back even further to his relationship with music growing up. They go on to discuss being relentless in pursuing your passion, and go into more detail about the critical year in Huey’s life when he explored Europe. Later they talk about how his parents wanted to raise him differently, and the fact that they both got to see some of Huey’s success. As the conversation wraps up, the guys discuss how the music industry has evolved, and their shared love of Jimmy Kimmel.
