Show Summary
Today’s podcast opens with Adam recalling a conversation he had with his dad about spirituality. He then talks about his mom’s angry liberal friends growing up, as well as his own ‘awakening’ while performing standup. The guys also take a call from a fan who is recently divorced, and Gina and Bryan share their own stories of spirituality growing up. Later, Adam chats about his first watch-down of the new Shelby doc he’s been working on.
Mr. Skin is in studio next, and the guys talk about growing up without access to nudity. They also discuss what the Carolla kids (and others of their generation) must be looking at these days, and Mr. Skin chimes in with some legendary nude scenes throughout the years. Gina then reads news stories about David Ortiz being shot, more dead horses at Santa Anita racetrack, and Sigourney Weaver returning to the Ghostbusters franchise in the upcoming sequel. Other stories include Burt Reynolds items hitting the auction block this weekend, Britney Spears taking on the paparazzi, and fantasies about murdering your boss being totally OK. As the show wraps up, Gina reads one last story about Gwyneth Paltrow defending her living situation, and Adam and Shek bring today’s Good Sports.
