Show Summary

The show opens with further discussion of yesterday’s ‘You Are The Coolest’ music video. Adam also rants about a frustrating experience at home, and responds to a couple tweets about how few original movies are made now, and the ridiculousness of the Lotto. Alison then starts up the news discussing Santorum’s exit from the Presidential race, and how the teenage birthrate has fallen to a record low. Adam recalls watching ’16 and Pregnant’ with Lynette, and talks about irresponsible teenagers.

After the break, Adam jumps to the phones to take your calls. One caller is looking for a summer gig, and Adam complains about how teachers and firemen need to work harder. He also talks to a caller about steroid use in the UFC. Next up, Adam takes your tweets for a round of What Can’t Adam Complain About. The show wraps up with a couple more news stories: a 13-year-old who took over after his bus driver had a heart attack, and the costs of Whitney Houston’s funeral.

Show Summary

Adam and the gang welcome Josh Gardner at the top of the show. Adam talks with him about the Man Show writer’s room days, and Josh jumps into his Deaf Frat Guy character. The guys also listen to the infamous Southern California Jewish Center commercial, and Adam looks through some old family photos. Josh then plays a song from his new album, and Adam takes a call from someone pitching a sci-fi novel.

Greg Fitzsimmons joins the show next, and he and Adam discuss the importance of comedians writing their own jokes. Alison then starts up the news, discussing the plea of the elementary school teacher who allegedly molested his students. They also talk about the new legislation that will prevent 911 information from being released to the public.

Later, the guys recall their favorite prank phone calls, and Alison talks about a new movement in the porn industry for its stars to wear condoms. Adam and Greg go on a jag about one-armed pitcher Jim Abbott, and also complain about how many handicap spots there are in certain parking lots. As the show wraps up, Adam takes your tweets for a round of What Can’t Adam Complain About.

Show Summary

Adam opens the show by announcing that Kevin Smith will be appearing in studio tomorrow to help clear the air on their recent argument. Adam also goes through the Girl Scout Cookie rankings, and yells at Larry Miller for not liking the right ones. Later, Adam rants about remote controls with low batteries, and whether or not you tip the hotel housekeeping.

Alison starts up the news discussing the results of the SAG awards. Adam also goes on a jag about Yakov Smirnoff and breaks down the flaws of Rocky 3. Adam then tries to give advice to a lazy 14-year old son, and talks with Alison about the latest happenings at Occupy DC. Adam also takes your tweets for a round of What Can’t Adam Complain About, and he wraps the show talking to callers about high school reunions and animated caricatures.

Adam in New York

Show Summary

Adam joins the stage with Alison, Bald Bryan, and comedian Mike Birbiglia right from the top. Adam talks about the security in NY, and gives a couple audience members a hard time for what they’re wearing. The guys then take suggestions for What Can’t Adam Complain About, and Adam rants about scholarships, Livestrong bracelets, and hot chicks. Adam also talks about a couple exchanges he had with the Baldwin brothers.

Before going into the news, Alison talks about a personal news story: a hotel bellhop saw her naked in her hotel room while she was drying her hair. The guys talk to an actual bellhop in the audience, and try to determine the proper protocol for knocking, as well as tipping. The guys also talks about Obama being in town, and how close New York is to legalizing gay marriage.

Adam is then thrilled to welcome ‘This American Life’ executive producer and host, Ira Glass to the show. Ira talks about being a Loveline fan back in the day, and relates to the frustration of bringing a radio show to television. Adam talks to Ira about his favorite episode of TAL, where a man wanted to have his bull cloned, despite evidence saying it was a bad idea. The guys also talk about Adam’s Guinness Book of World Records for Most Downloaded Podcast, and the proper waitress tipping etiquette.

Returning to the news, Justin Bieber is in town selling his new perfume, and Bald Bryan has an update about his reaction to Adam’s show last night, since he was in the crowd. The guys also talk about the apprehension of a famous gangster in Santa Monica, and the show wraps up with the audience getting riled up over brand names that may disappear in 2012.
