Show Summary

The guys then talk about Seth MacFarlane’s new movie, the best BBQ joints in Texas, and take listener calls for Tales From The Cheap.

Diane Ladd enters the studio next and chats with the gang about auditioning for Christmas Vacation. Later the guys talk about Diane’s youth in Mississippi and why southern ladies like to chit chat. Alison then starts up the news discussing Villaraigosa’s latest attempts to repeal taxes in California. The guys also talk about a couple in trouble for putting their newborn in their carryon luggage, and a tragic death at Comic Con. As the show wraps up, the guys blast through a number of Facebook-related stories.

Show Summary

Adam opens the podcast discussing an observation he made while watching the UFC fight from the weekend. Greg Fitzsimmons then comes in studio, and talks with Adam and the gang about his weekend in Vegas and why he’s done with strip clubs. The guys also discuss problems with water parks, and Greg’s new gas station game show, ‘Pumped.’

In the news, the protestors at Occupy Wall Street have been given permission to demonstrate in the park, but are not allowed to sleep there over night. The guys also talk about the latest Herman Cain interview snafu, and Adam suggests that the political system is too tightly regulated for any president to get anything done. Later, they have a lengthy discussion about the Sandusky scandal, and why we need to be more active in supporting the victims.

In the last part of the show, the guys jump to the phones to hear your Tales From The Cheap. Stories include a guy whose mom kept the dirty Styrofoam meat trays, a guy whose brother got a very interesting gift in his stocking, and a guy who got a bunch of pens for his birthday. The guys also share their own cheap stories, and the show wraps with a discussion of their first porno experiences.

Show Summary

Adam had two of his wisdom teeth pulled this morning and has some thoughts on the experience. He then has Alison read another news story about trying to ban leaf blowers, and the group plays a round of Tales From The Cheap. Adam also gives some updates on his dog Molly.

Today’s guest is MMA referee Big John McCarthy. Adam talks to him about his new book, and has a lot of questions about the still-evolving sport. Big John shares his thoughts on fighters like Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar, and gives some insight as to how he gets selected to ref certain matches.

Moving into the news with Alison, the top story is about the passing of Steve Jobs. They also discuss Sarah Palin’s announcement that she will not be running for president, nor is New Jersey governor Chris Christie. Also in the news is the continuing trial of Conrad Murray, and the guys listen to the sad, slurred audio of Michael Jackson. Later they discuss pissed off protestors in the New York, and the first TV series cancellation of the season. The show wraps up with the guys discussing former Playmate Holly Madison insuring her breasts for $1 million.
