Show Summary

Artie Lange is on stage with Adam and the gang right from the top of the show. Adam talks about Sonny’s kindergarten graduation, and recalls the time he got a D in gym. He and Artie also talk about their prom experiences, and review the benefits of bullying. The guys then take some audience questions, and Adam talks about why he’ll never move to New York.

Alison opens the news discussing Obama’s new immigration policy, and a reported case of the plague in Oregon. The guys also talk about teens tending to smoke more weed over cigarettes, and a pair of lungs that was found on an LA sidewalk. Adam recalls when body parts were found near his house, and also jokes about STD commercials. The guys then discuss a list of America’s Manliest Cities, and Verne Troyer’s sex tape. As the show wraps up, the gang chats about the world burping championship, and Artie’s love life.

Show Summary

Adam opens the show discussing his busy day of book press, and a reporter who didn’t know the Richard Gere gerbil rumor. He then answers audience questions about wedding rings, cleanliness vs. talcum powder, and why car gas gauges are so awful. Next up, Alison opens the news with clips of Wendy Williams saying that Adam was the worst guest she ever had. The guys also chat about Skunk Day, rattlesnakes, and peeing in the sink.

Later in the news, Alison discusses the banning of sugary drinks in New York, and the death of Henry Hill. Another news story is about the addition of more quiet subway cars, and Adam recalls a bizarre subway experience that happened earlier in the day. After stories about pizza vending machines and a guy who attacked his girlfriend with wasabi, the show wraps up with What Can’t Adam Complain About.

Show Summary

Adam joins the stage with Alison, Bald Bryan, and comedian Mike Birbiglia right from the top. Adam talks about the security in NY, and gives a couple audience members a hard time for what they’re wearing. The guys then take suggestions for What Can’t Adam Complain About, and Adam rants about scholarships, Livestrong bracelets, and hot chicks. Adam also talks about a couple exchanges he had with the Baldwin brothers.

Before going into the news, Alison talks about a personal news story: a hotel bellhop saw her naked in her hotel room while she was drying her hair. The guys talk to an actual bellhop in the audience, and try to determine the proper protocol for knocking, as well as tipping. The guys also talks about Obama being in town, and how close New York is to legalizing gay marriage.

Adam is then thrilled to welcome ‘This American Life’ executive producer and host, Ira Glass to the show. Ira talks about being a Loveline fan back in the day, and relates to the frustration of bringing a radio show to television. Adam talks to Ira about his favorite episode of TAL, where a man wanted to have his bull cloned, despite evidence saying it was a bad idea. The guys also talk about Adam’s Guinness Book of World Records for Most Downloaded Podcast, and the proper waitress tipping etiquette.

Returning to the news, Justin Bieber is in town selling his new perfume, and Bald Bryan has an update about his reaction to Adam’s show last night, since he was in the crowd. The guys also talk about the apprehension of a famous gangster in Santa Monica, and the show wraps up with the audience getting riled up over brand names that may disappear in 2012.
