Show Summary

At the top of the podcast, the gang fondly recalls yesterday’s show with French Stewart, and Adam talks further about disappointing dads. Adam then shares a breakthrough he had about his family’s leftovers, and takes a call from Senator Ben Sasse. The guys chat about what motivated him to write a book about the vanishing American adult. They also talk about how having a job gives you purpose, and the problems that are being caused from separating work from the household. As the call wraps up, Adam asks him about the Bill Maher controversy. Before heading into the break, Adam takes calls about seeing Alien at too young an age, and Amazon helping people on government assistance.

Paul Tollett and Nic Adler are in studio next, and Adam talks with them about how you get in touch with artists like Tom Petty, and build a dream lineup. They also discuss the upcoming Arroyo Seco Weekend, and Nic’s position as the culinary curator for the Coachella music festival. Later, Paul and Nic talk about the early years of getting Coachella off the ground, their thoughts on the Fyre Festival disaster, and some of the strange personal demands they’ve heard from rock stars. In the last part of the show, Gina reads news stories about an emotional support dog who mauled an airline passenger, the first criminal leak case under President Trump, and the benefits of rock climbing. As the show wraps up, Adam puts in a request for Tom Petty, and Gina reads one last news story about War Machine’s life sentence.
