Rick Springfield & “Take That Tune” + Family Therapy with Vinnie Tortorich
Adam opens the show recalling a story involving a trip to Tijuana, and Rick Springfield’s hit song ‘Jesse’s Girl’. Vinnie Tortorich is also in studio, and the guys talk about whether or not Adam and Ray were getting laid in high school. Adam then plays an exclusive recording he took of himself chatting with his mom about the Oscars. They also talk about The Feast of San Gennaro and eating on football Sundays.
Rick Springfield is in studio next, and Adam chats with him about the relationship between good looks and talent. Adam also tells a story involving Rick’s drummer, and asks Rick about his upbringing and tour schedule. Up next, the gang plays a brand new music game called ‘Take That Tune’. Later, Adam asks Rick about his biking accident a couple years ago, and Gina begins the news talking about LeBron James’ latest milestone. Other stories involve the guy who played Barney the Purple Dinosaur’s new career, and Party City’s apology for their statement that gluten free is gross. As the show wraps up, Adam rants about people wanting to rewrite history as it pertains to his new doc, and the guys talk about finding the lost ‘Bullitt’ cars.
