Adam opens the show to a “Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress” intro from Dawson and Lynch, he thanks the fans for tuning in and comments on how the live shows aren’t the sausage fests that some might imagine, lots of family combos and couples.

BB has a “I never heard the word nipple said with such anger” #TopDrop from last week.

Adam is telling them about the death of his old friend Nick Menza, BB is unfamiliar with their connection.

Adam says he tells 10 stories a million times and many other stories just once, mocking his own critiques about repetition. Adam talks about Nick’s father the saxophonist.

Adam says saxophonists die at 31 or 81 and feels badly whenever a son passes before a parent, Adam is trying to recall what cartoon character he reminded him of, he says one of ‘The Rugrats’ he must mean either Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster or Phil DeVille, he notes that the observation came later in life once the cartoon premiered on Nickelodeon.

Adam is talking about life and death and the passage of time, Gina asks if Nick was ever on LoveLine, Adam isn’t sure, unless it’s a lost episode it never happened.

The only known appearance of anyone from Megadeath is this episode THURSDAY, AUGUST 27, 1992 – GUEST: DAVE MUSTAINE from 3 years and 1 month before Adam’s start on the show.

Adam says he kept an eye on him over the years, he wraps up the on air goodbye to Nick who died on stage on Saturday.

His other tweet was about Erik Kramer’s recovery after his suicide attempt. He goes in depth on that and Erik’s son, he is really feeling a sense of dread it seems.

Gina brings up how Teresa Strasser’s mother passed away 4 months to the day after her brother and Gina chokes up, Adam says he’s just realizing it’s a good idea to have a decent relationship with your kids.

BB has a “leave the joking to Adam” drop and Adam is telling them about his son being bummed out after his first basketball tryout.

BB has a killer “they wanted me to make a basket!?” impression/joke at Sonny’s expense.

Adam is explaining he took a preview of the documentary to a panel with Nate Adams, he missed Sonny’s tryouts and they took a walk a Saturday night after Adam came back from the Shelby event.

Adam says his son told him that it feels a lot like the time he was in a relay race and took his team from 1st to 3rd place, Adam says that’s a bad feeling and he’s been carrying it for almost half of his life.

Adam told Sonny that feeling was a good thing and it was him not meeting his own expectations of his abilities, it’s nice that he’s plagued and is experiencing discomfort.

Adam was very happy to hear about Sonny’s misery as it pertains to that endeavor, it means he’s not a fucking loser.

Bother means he cares and wants to do better.

Adam welcomes Soledad back to the show for a phoner, she reminds him of her 4 children, she’s currently watching some Lacrosse and jokes with Adam about ferrying kids around.

Adam plugs Soledad’s documentary and he asks her about the money and income and she tells them will be donating any profits if there are any to the program that’s covered in the movie.

Soledad tells them about the project and how it cares for Veterans suffering through PTSD and near suicide.

Adam talks about how often you hear about old guys being in the service, it used to be part of being an American male and now it’s less than 1% of society and thus there are less people to connect with when easing back into civilian life.

Soledad talks about how rarely anyone reports on the positive elements of the VA.

Soledad shares an anecdote about a veteran who was sending “weapons and explosive expert” to various companies on his resume.

Adam is now talking about his uncle who was a radio operator in the service and Adam even as a kid was perplexed how you can integrate that skill into regular life.

Soledad uses the term “problematic” and Adam is now talking about German prisons vs. our system and how they actually try to rehabilitate people and prevent them from coming back.

Soledad is talking about employers and third parties trying to help returning vets and Adam plugs ‘The War comes Home’ and asks her to come back on the show in person next she’s nearby.

Gina brings up Rob Riggle and a possibly connection he has to a Veteran’s charity, Adam talks about Rob being the only Marine stationed on Manhattan, he was actually one of the recruitment officers if memory serves.

See ACS #1133.

BB jokes about Mike August trying to claim everyone’s last name is pronounced differently.

Adam and BB are doing a Blue Apron Live Read

Adam defies you to get one of their offering and cook it up and claim you’re not satisfied with the results.

Adam mentions that Mark Geragos was in studio last week to tape the latest Reasonable Doubt.

RD #44 – Whitie (Whitey) Might Riot

Adam is now saying the police are equal opportunity murders and will even punch pregnant women, he complains about the media selling the narrative of cops being merely racist and not unchecked power hungry murderers of anyone that challenges them in any way.

He says we then ignore stories like this one he’s about to share from the latest RD episode, Adam explains why this selective reporting and bias is no good for anyone, not only does it make people live in fear for the wrong reasons it also casts asides tragedies such as this coming example.

Adam says we’ll never get to the actual problem which is the cops, Adam is now setting up the story from Phoenix.

Adam once again mentions the airsoft gun, Gary and everyone else fail to inform him that they fire yellow plastic booger sized balls, pellets, but not like metal pellet guns.

They are now listening to the latest Reasonable Doubt and Mark’s words about his dead client who was murdered in the hallway of his hotel room.

Mark has all of the horrible and fishy details, he explains the Judge will release the video with some mild edits, wow!

Adam says Whitey Don’t Riot and Greg shares his belief this story could be that bad that white people might riot about police brutality.

Gina doesn’t even remember this story and Adam says it’s a non-story as it doesn’t fit the narrative.

Adam doesn’t want news outlets with narratives, he just wants the news unfiltered and this kind of behavior makes them literal fire starters, he cites the Duke Lacrosse case.

Adam says it would be nice if we focused on police and military tactics vs. their racist thoughts, Adam comments on the 400k price put up for the guy’s execution.

Adam is commenting on Mark’s argument about the Hulk Hogan and Erin Andrews settlements in comparison to this paltry sum for an innocent person’s very life.

Adam is now getting corrected/assisted by Dawson with an English lesson regarding Evoke vs. Invoke and when either is appropriate.

BB moves things along and is mildly condescending, only BB does the grammar policing round these parts!

Q and Ace

1st Caller Nick, he’s calling about an overbearing mother in law, is this the same guy who called into The Dr. Drew podcast #226?

Adam is talking about telling Matt Fondiler what to do, Matt gets on mic and says “window of negligence” as Adam says it will close when he’s fired.

Adam is telling him to be completely strings free from the mother in law, is she providing any services or help to them, if so cut her off and then regulate her contact.

Adam says not to focus on the negative, he’s getting a free babysitter, yeah you got a shitty post it note but you got someone to watch your kid for free.

Nick is sharing how this effects his relationship with his wife, Adam says instead of coaching up old mother in law, he should start figuring out ways to lesson her role in their life.

Diminish her power and reward her with contact for positive behavior that you want to encourage, Adam shares how Lynette was told about a person doing something behind his back and he shared how he didn’t care nor feel the need to address it.

Adam says you don’t have to make the other person a bad person for you to disagree with something.

Adam is bringing up the dust mites in the pillow studies on the news and how they aren’t much help, regardless you’re going to be covered in dust mites.

2nd Caller Chris, she loves them and tells Adam about only washing her hair once per month and Adam asks if she’s the shuttle driver they spoke to before.

Adam is asking her about shuttling the passengers and if she talks with them while driving.

Adam brings up the Donal Logue ‘Jimmy The Cab Driver’ commercial spots that used to air on MTV.

Chris is bringing up underpants and bathing, Adam is talking about how he does wear underpants under his shorts for exercising but goes sans underwear while wearing suit pants or dressing up, really?

Chris says she loves sleeping, Adam is joking about that being on her list and if she’s trying to make him hot, Adam says that’s the most honest answer she could possibly give, we all love being unconscious getting rest.

She loves walking her dog and she loves calling into the show.

Chris is telling them about her pug and BB has a hilarious whisper, Adam says he loves dogs as they view their owner as the most powerful person on earth, Chris is above all “dem” bitches in her pug’s eyes.

Adam asks if she’s looking for a man and she shares why she finds men annoying, Adam is now riffing about men running away from her, hilarious fleeing of a one night stand description.

Adam is referencing the movie ‘Sideways’ and Chris is loving it.

Gina asks her who her ideal man is, she says Bradley Cooper and Adam tells her that she might have to settle for an Orlando Bloom, Adam doesn’t want her to get her hopes up too high, doesn’t want to see her take a fall.

Adam is telling her about his puppy Phil, Adam brings up ‘Killdozer’ the TV movie and the punk band that led to him calling Phil “Phildozer” and he heads into a live read.

Adam is doing an Onnit.com Live Read

3rd Caller Charles, he’s calling about his friend who always gasses up his car with the engine running, he shares how his buddy rationalizes that if it was dangerous a kill switch would be in place.

Adam says there used to be a time with engine management and different ECU setting, driving with a fuel injected car without a gas cap from the 1980’s it could be an issue and BB confirms it.

Adam is now talking about the years of gas caps being untethered to cars, it took about 100 yrs. for someone to come up with a zip tie, Adam misses makeshift windows and coat hanger antennas.

Gina comments on growing up in Kansas and how she was told not to pump gas with the engine running and the heart on, when it’s cold out.

Adam says in this day and age they won’t let us be stupid and would have a series of safeguards to prevent gas station explosions that kill everybody.

Adam has a great hypothetical scenario, he asks is it better to be mistaken for the wrong gender/sex or being pregnant, pregnant means your fat and the wrong gender could be attributed to clothing and makeup/hair choices of any given day.

Adam asks Gina what would sting more, she ways that it would be harder if someone thought she was a dude, Adam say’s it’s not an indictment on the genders it’s about you being a super ugly version of the gender you are.

Adam talks about kids with long blonde hair, boys being mistaken with gals and Adam says he wouldn’t want to be the guy standing outside of the restrooms making that call.

Dawson says he’s done both mistakes Adam has brought up, he called a woman sir and asked if a fat person was pregnant, at ages 8 and then 10.

Adam talks about edible pot being a great way to disguise drug use form parents, Gina talks about using fabric softener sheets stuffed in a paper towel roll, she calls it a silencer and BB just learned of this move.

Gina confirms it works.

Adam is now doing a True Car Live Read

Hooray For BaldyWood

BB saw ‘The Nice guys’ and he gives a quick background on Shane Black the writer director and Adam says he feels bad for the guys with medium sized arms in ‘Predator’ due to the extreme arm size of certain cast members.

BB has a scene from ‘Predator’ and Adam is recalling the cinema classic, in particular the Indian solider and his badass death scene.

BB talks about his movie being full of every trope you can imagine and he says they nailed the period setting and the ancillary departments got it right.

Adam is reminded of the Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling Academy Award presenting and he comments on how he feels like the movie was delayed, it was.

BB now compliments the film and brags about it’s great Rotten Tomatoes score.

BB plays a clip from the movie and Adam has them play the Academy Award presentation with the two guys bantering.

Adam is talking about how the award shows cutaway to get reaction shots from the audience, he would rather focus on the interplay between the two performers.

BB says the cast is great and the tone is perfect, he compliments the movie and Adam gets him to give it a solid A score.

Gina saw ‘Master and Commander: The Far Side of the Earth’ and Adam comments on how humans have no perception on how harsh life used to be for even children.

Gina’s News

1st Story is on The Preakness and Gina has some clips, she shares the disturbing news of the two horses that died, she describes how they bring out a curtain divider and then execute them, Adam jokes about the divider being used for the best activity on earth like you doing a Sport’s Illustrated Swimsuit cover or the worse you buying it on a moped and having it put around your corpse as they scrape you up.

Gina says this is why she can’t get into horse racing and Adam marvels that it is still so popular even in this modern era.

2nd Story is on the discovery of the debris from the wreckage of MS 804, the missing Egypt airlines plane. Adam says the saddest part is when they find debris form other wreckages while searching for the aircraft.

Gina has the grim details and Adam has a funny “I disagree: in reply to the competing theories over this crash, Gina comments on the 90 degree turn and Adam says he was listening to some experts and he says then there is part of you that is relieved it’s not ISIS but then you realize that model of Airbus is being used worldwide and this perhaps more alarming statistically.

Adam says you should hope for terrorism over a catastrophic failure and Adam mocks the “Airbus” name and how it doesn’t convey speed nor safety.

3rd Story is on the Blake Lively controversy for quoting ‘Sir Mix-a-Lot’ and BB argues that was a party song meant for people of all races, Sir is from Seattle…

Gina comments on the shitty tone of the article and Adam is saying if you’re really outraged you need to fucking kill yourself, now everyone is a racist and he comments on how there is no choice but to overcompensate now that we’ve had a two term black president.

Adam is comparing racism to firework accidents, it’s not an epidemic, it’s something that exists not something that exists everywhere.

BB says that people are racist for only assuming he was singing about black girls, Adam is now asking if you aren’t really just fanning the flames and upsetting people.

Adam says he doesn’t give a fuck anymore and says he’s not for the killing of lions but doesn’t give two fucking lion shits about Cecil.

Adam is sharing how he had an article shared with him about Native American people not caring about major league sports mascots.

Adam has a Rock Hudson analogy to make a point about existing in a time where being gay would ruin your career, saying that we exist in an age where being a racist in Hollywood is a career death why would Blake even go near the edge of commenting on race, you have to have no malice to make racially charged jokes.

4th Story is on a California gas station attendant who attacked a motorist’s car with a baseball bat, Gina has the local news clip with the cellphone footage.

Gina has the details and the “no comment” reaction from the woman and Gina asks what Adam would do, he says he gets his car for free, he’s rich and that’s how he stays rich.

Adam jokes about people freaking out about stolen and damaged cars, you just call the insurance company and they’ll handle it, that’s why you have insurance.

Adam is now telling the story of the time his old Supra was totaled while he was on the line with Jimmy Kimmel and it happened mere feet away from him.

Adam talks about running into the guy who totaled his car at the local Home Depot like 2 months ago (longer than that) and explains he wanted to take a selfie as if they had gone to high school together.

Adam says this guy would have killed himself years ago if he was Japanese, Adam talks about sitting across form this guy in the courtroom and his bullshit attempt to gauge Adam on the value of the car, this guy “Kenny.”

Adam jokes about a reality series where he kicks Kenny’s dad in the nuts, he shares how he used his bundle of receipts and offered to prove his tires were all brand new, Kenny let the baby have his bottle and Gina says congratulations on not being arrested to Kenny.

Adam says Jesus fucking Christ Kenny’s parents raised a piece of shit.

Adam says they worked out a payment plan and mentions his conversations with the Van Nuys police department about their inability to track how much the guy had paid towards the vehicle settlement.

Adam doesn’t mind dumb, he just hates when businesses and or the city toggle between mega technology and 0 technology when it’s convenient for them.

Adam is doing a PodcastOne Live Read

5th Story is on a new Watching Post story that posted a survey about Native Americans feelings about the term name for The Washington Redskins.

Gina has a clip of a Native American discussing his feelings about Red Skin being a cultural signifier and Adam says they picked the name as a celebration for both their team and the term, they were trying to represent a strong ideal/signifier.

Adam comments on the way we make people struggling into a minority group regardless of their numbers, Asians get skipped etc.

Adam comments on Native Americans perhaps not being the biggest NFL fans, Adam is now citing some famous fans and describes his on camera moves.

Gary is on mic and explaining how the punk band Killdozer was named after the movie, Adam was clear on that is now explain this fan they’re talking about, Chief Z according to Gary.
