Adam has a get it on intro and explains how the fans are deputized to go recruit new fans to eventually replace them and become bigger fans.

Adam says that David will be calling in, BB plays the “Yolo Man” #TopDrop and now Adam is praising ‘Depp Purple’ and their drummer, one of the greatest all time rock drummers and cites him being able to keep this pace up for the entire song as they listen to ‘Burn’.

BB says his fills have fills, Adam is joking about him chugging Gatorade and using an IV to save his energy, Dawson tells them the name of this singer, the guy before David Coverdale joined the band.

 

Adam praises their song ‘Burn’ that’s playing in the background this whole time, Adam says that if you have a strong classical musical training you can then turn to the dark side of rock and become an artist like this.

Dawson now corrects himself that was David Coverdale, his first album with the band.

Adam is now getting back to the topic of song covers, he’s now sharing the David Coverdale cover of ‘Here I Go Again’ and Dawson has a great reminder of his favorite part of this song is not hearing Dawson talk over it, Adam is amused with his own insult, nice.

 

Adam talks about spending the day in “Black Beverly Hills” and Dawson is now on mic explaining the backstory of how they came to record these new versions.

Adam is sharing his more nefarious theory about the song, BB jokes about a band member calling the show to solve the mystery for them, if only.

Adam is talking about artists and media now chasing and consuming their own tails and regurgitating old content repackaged in a new form.

 

Adam is mentioning ‘I Like Dreamin’ and has Gary pay a mashup of the song with Lily Tomlin’s rant from nearly a decade ago, I’m sure they did something like this on the old radio show, at least they played the clips during the news when the rants were first leaked to the media.

Adam is peppering in some light commentary.

Adam is asking BB if he knows this song, he doesn’t recall it despite it being a top 10 hit.

 

Adam is now asking for another half of that rant, getting the David O’Russell portion.

Adam says he saw his first black gardener while in Ladera Heights and is explaining how he told his cameraman he’s never seen a black gardener before.

The Cameraman commented on the former Japanese gardeners that don’t seem to be around anymore.

 

Gina has a Japanese gardener at her building to this day, Gina confirms he is indeed Japanese and reveals she speaks a little of the language.

Adam is now commenting on how the Japanese gardener evolved out of the profession, his children went off and became doctors and professionals.

Adam is making a point about cultures who focus on education and family and how they do it.

 

Adam is talking about how the Japanese were able to change in just a generation and a half, Adam is now asking for “Billy Don’t Be a Hero” and talks about leaving ‘Black Beverly Hills” and how you end up just in “black” when you leave there.

Adam is sharing how this song was blasting from his car as he pulled up to a light in Crenshaw with both windows down as he was airing out his car.

Adam realized he was the whitest dude on the planet in the eyes of the black lady next to him with her windows down as her AC no longer worked, Adam says he turned the song down immediately and BB says it’s a tool tune.

1st Caller Julie, she congratulates Adam on the movies and sets up a little Newman story telling Adam about working a grill for a spa and how she met him while serving him.

Paul ended up taking a hamburger, Adam is commenting on how Paul would cook for his guys and feed everyone while they were on location for a race.

Adam says that it’s in the movie, the part that was left out was where Bob Sharp mentioned the 20% fat that Paul preferred for his burgers.

 

Julie brings up Paul Newman chasing that passion so late in life and Adam interrupts her telling her this won’t happen for her.

She is telling Adam about now being in her 3rd career, she gave up radio and then her chef duties, Adam is commenting on people having kids throughout time and now he’s doing a stripper DJ bit and mentions Jade.

Julie says she’s spent 12 years building her business, she wants to know about giving up on her dreams or somehow deciding on a controlled end for it.

 

Adam is talking about the small army of semi retards who mess up your house that you employ and who can’t even seem to lock the door.

Adam says there is no amount of discussion with his wife to prevent this from happening again.

Adam is now sharing his efforts to paint his door knobs with nail polish to train the tards he employs.

 

David is now joining them for the show, he’s quite amused with the language.

David is great already, he’s really engaged and coming off full of life and energy.

Adam asks him how he’s doing and he’s delightful, cracking up and compliments the movie ‘The Hammer’ and praises the song ‘Burn’ by Deep Purple.

 

David is now giving his feelings on that track and Adam is asking him about the drummer Ian Pace, David says he is that good and he was influenced by the swing sound.

Adam is saying that Lynyrd Skynyrd has a lot of Swing in their music too even though you wouldn’t think of it.

David is telling them about his classic influences and how he was able to harness all of that.

 

Adam is asking him about his origins in life before music, he tells them about his time at Art College and his desire to draw.

He says his poems became lyrics and graphic design led to music, he says he left art college and formed White Snake very early on.

Adam is asking about the origins of White Snake and their first early successes.

 

David is talking about the role MTV played in his career, Adam is now asking about the follow up to “Here I go Again” and David explains the meaning behind the first track and explains how getting involved with David Geffen led to the re-recorded tracks.

Adam thinks there was a 3rd variant, David is still on fire and joking with the gang.

Adam is now giving out the plugs and wrapping up with David, he’s wonderful and should come in studio soon, Gina loves his spirt and overall dapperness.

 

Dawson is now confirming that there are only 2 version and giving his take on how the one we’re familiar with became the hit version.

 

Adam is taking it back to Julie, telling her about marking up his doorknobs and Adam says his system doesn’t work as he finds himself chasing his system due to people hiding his keys with their errant sombreros.

Adam says he can’t counteract people coming into his house and sabotaging him and his plans.

Adam is talking about his last conversation with a therapist about this not being something he can correct or control, Adam doesn’t accept that as an answer and they need to change.

 

Adam is back to Julie, she’s once again digging into Lynette a bit.

Adam is responding to her ideas and Adam is saying his problem is the 3 years of training this takes to get to this point and ultimately if we’re going to get here anyway we should not draw this out.

Julie is bringing up the caterers on set who don’t cover up the craft services with sly nets.

 

Julie thinks its stupidity and Adam says for just about everyone what is, is, they don’t think about modifying things and accept things for being the way they are.

BB talks about this being a slave to the world as it presents itself, Adam talks about how he knew there was a device to keep flies away from the food.

Adam is talking about the 46 people on set who are much smarter than he is and have much more years of school and education than he does.

 

Adam is asking what’s the reluctance among these people who refuse to modify their behavior.

Adam takes it back to Julie, Adam is telling her all of these people are smarter than he is but they just can’t move.

Adam says he can speak with impunity as he’s not born into wealth and doesn’t need to shut his mouth about social issues.

 

Adam talks about the first part of his life spent as a disorganized mess that he corrected by being tough on himself, he got his shit together by kicking the shit out of himself.

He has spent his adult life trying to impart this on others, BB talks about an episode of Freakenomics regarding the upside of quitting.

Adam talks about when he quit doing sketch and improv and how he knew it wasn’t his strongest suit.

2nd Caller Chris he wants to know Adam’s take on American Muscle cars, the mopar stuff specifically.

Adam says he likes the 69 Camaro and ok’s the big block, he’s less than enthused.

Adam is describing why he’s not into the American stuff, Adam says that what guys do with cars is dedicate themselves to one genre, why not fuck everyone and not settle on just redheads.

 

Adam says he loves Lamborghinis and Datsun’s, Chris admits he’s stupid for liking these “yummy phase” cars and BB plays the new drop of Chris making a noise, this is great!

Adam is likes a crazy purple barracuda.

Adam is now joking about him and Chris doing a crossfire style news show, Adam is saying he just loves cars that weren’t made in this country.

Adam doesn’t like the lack of technology or adaptation of those cars, have a fish stick and listen to the Wiggles.

They’re back from break with Franklin making his ACS debut after a quick ‘Nicaraguan Name That Movie’ and Adam is asking Franklin about his work and how it all came to be.

He’s telling them about the origin of the “black list” for unproduced screenplays, he shares how they adapted this process into a crowd sourcing method.

This all sounds very cool.

 

Adam is describing how everyone who writes should have their material read aloud before settling on a final draft.

Franklin shares their intent to service the writing community and help writers get work.

Adam is commenting on the various screenplays that became great movies, he’s praising ‘The Social Network’ and ‘The Wolf of Wall street’ and asks what makes for a good copy reader.

Adam brings up Bill Belichick and his coaching ability vs. probable football skills or lack thereof.

 

Franklin is telling them about how you must love movies to be able to read these scripts and find the gems, he brings up the “path to production” business consideration component as well.

Adam wants to know if he’s ever gotten about 25 pages into script without being won over and then in the end enjoyed it and thought it to be a brilliant piece of writing.

He’s saying the first 10 pages is all you need, Adam talks about how the people who read your stuff want it to be good, they don’t want to waste their time.

 

BB talks about taking notes, Franklin is talking to Adam and Adam is explaining how caring is the only thing that matters, he doesn’t care about the world series but could be watching ‘Hoosiers’ and be totally into it going nuts.

Franklin agrees with Adam, BB talks about ‘Margin Call’ and they’re asking him about some of his favorite movies, he brings up ‘City of God’ and BB sings it’s praises as well.

He tells them about a movie he describes as Goodfellas in a French prison, Gina has him repeat the title.

 

Franklin says he gets why people see Transformers and why it makes so much money, Franklin sounds very even keeled.

1st Story is on Robert Downey Jr. promoting ‘Avengers 2’ and an interview that went off the rails leading him to walk off the show.

Adam is now doing some live commentary over the clip, Gina fills them in on the info about the journalist, Adam jokes about what he looks like, hilarious, and BB hates British journalists.

Adam talks about his son listening to Graham Parker and Foo Fighters when he woke up this morning, Adam is complimenting Downey and says he’s not difficult, he’s very bright and he says bright guys have little to no patience for nonsense.

They’re now watching some footage of how it works, Franklin calls that kid a badass and Adam talks about movies and jokes about there never being one where a blind couldn’t kick the shit out of a sighted man.

Adam is talking about the Jean-Claude Van Damme phoner to the KLSX morning show, Adam is trying to explain how he couldn’t clarify if he was playing himself in the movie, BB is now impersonating JCVD and Adam is riffing as himself.

Adam talks about how she looks like she’s had a nose job without having one but it’s been the same all the way through.

Adam is commenting on how they discriminate against boobies on these lists, Adam is joking about Laverne Cox, Adam says he’s down with anyone name Lavern and with the last name Cox, Gina then informs him of who she is.

 

4th Story is on the Amazon best sellers of adult coloring books, Adam is asking how this came to be popular and jokes about us being out of booze.

Adam brings up basic cable and BB says even comic books.

 

5th Story is on the estimated value of the total landmass of America, Adam is asking about the Louisiana Purchase and the process of them haggling the 4 cents per acre.

Adam wonders who #1 is in total value, he jokes with BB about not being able to get the value of other planets at this point In time.

Adam jokes about hearing this stat and assuming the person responsible hasn’t been laid in 7 years, Franklin asks about the actual real world application for that data.

 

Adam doesn’t like this talk, nor the Mars colony stuff.

 

6th Story is on Jimmy Kimmel singing with/For Manny Pacquiáo and Adam is now telling Franklin about Randall Tex cobb and explains he probably knows him from ‘Raising Arizona’ and he’s telling Franklin about Howard Cosell giving up the fight commentary after a legendary brutal bout between Larry Holmes.

Adam is commenting on ‘Earnest Goes to Jail’ and they’re now playing a clip of Jimmy singing the song from Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Adam says it’s still unclear if they’re going to the fight or not, he’s over it but Jimmy is not and if they get a private jet and tickets he’s there.

 

Adam is explaining his plan to call in a food truck and shares his dilemma of not being able to say no to his buddy, Franklin tells him to take the ticket.

Adam is talking about the Ricky Hatton vs. Mayweather fight and how they were unable to see most of the action, he has a parking lot street fight with folding chairs analogy.
