Adam welcomes Vinnie Tortorich to the show at the top of the podcast, and the guys talk about Vinnie’s recent live show in Pasadena. Vinnie and Adam share Mike August stories, and then Adam talks about Wesley Snipes’ tax evasion. Vinnie then shares some interesting trivia in light of the upcoming Olympics, and Adam takes fan phone calls about transitioning from radio to podcasting, and movies that influenced the guys as a kid.

Gary Louris is in studio next, and Adam talks about the importance of exposing your kids to quality music. Gary then talks about the formation of the Jayhawks and how he approaches songwriting. The guys listen to some music, then Gina begins the news with highlights from the first night of the Democratic National Convention. Later, the guys talk about Paul Simon’s performance and the dread of the sound check. As the show wraps up, the guy’s talk about Katt Williams’ arrest, and Adam and Gary compare being a comedian to being a musician.
