Show Summary
The show opens with Adam talking with Dave Attell about his long history doing standup in New York. Adam also recalls seeing Dave perform in San Francisco, and thinking he was a ‘master craftsman.’ The guys then talk about Dave’s new series, ‘Dave’s Old Porn,’ which features comedians and former porn stars looking back on their old sex tapes. Adam also complains about strip clubs, and the problems with porn today.
Dave talks with Adam about living on cigarettes and coffee all the time, and how boring life became once he stopped drinking. Adam then asks Dave if the work of doing standup is draining on him, and Dave says as long as there are fans there that get his humor, he doesn’t care where or to how many people he performs.
In the last part of the show, Adam and Dave talk about some of their favorite comedians, and the tragic circumstances of both Mitch Hedberg and Greg Giraldo’s deaths. The guys then wrap the show discussing how glad they are to not have regular labor-intensive jobs anymore.

I always point out these dudes that buy bikes beyond what they can do anything with. I got a Cannondale but it’s a 8 years old. Some of these guys buy a new carbon fiber bike for 5-8k every six to eight months, blow my mind. When I got mine slopping tubes took off and some clown said he has to get rid of a new Caad5 to get a bike with a slopping top tube. Just marketing to make less sizes and people fell for it.

Somewhere around the 50-55 minute mark, Dave talks about todays generation living clean, hitting the gym, no smoking, etc…Adam jumps in and starts a mini-rant about sucking up creatine with Dane Cook and going on 10k runs and instead they should be whoring, up all night drunk…Wasnt he just asking Lou Ferrigno for tips on nutrition saying how he has to get in shape? I have an issue with isolated quotes being dropped and sometimes can’t quite make out if Adam is saying it ‘live’ or its a drop.. or is Alison saying that or BB is dropping it etc.

Attell is great. These guys have a good chemistry as well. Loved Insominiac, and all his acts. Too bad Dave sounds like the cigs are winning. Hey Dave, knock them off and ask your doctor for those little inhalers that look like cigar tips, but all plastic. They WORK. Love your show on Showtime, “Dave’s Old Porn”. Love seeing those old XXX stars talking about stuff. Especially when Nina Hartly acts like she’s embaressed at watching her old stuff when her newer stuff is muuuuuch worse.lol
