Adam opens the show chatting with newsgirl Melanie Baldonado about her background. Adam then talks about a bizarre exchange he had at picture day with the kids, and explains why there is no better time to be an alcoholic than right now. Adam also gets into his Super Bowl experience and plays clips from the game, as well as a clip from a strange sounding audio book he is listening to. Later, the guys take fan phone calls about Bald Bryan going to high school with Tom Brady, advice for a guy moving in with his girlfriend, and how Adam created new characters in The Groundlings. Before the break, everyone discusses this year’s Super Bowl commercials.
Christopher Noxon is in studio next, and Adam talks with him about being in a relationship where the wife makes all the money. The guys then discuss teaching the kids how to sword fight, and how Chris took his personal story and transformed it into a new novel called ‘Plus One’. Today’s news opens with a story about Warren Sapp’s arrest for soliciting a prostitute. They also discuss how the kids of Whitney Houston are coping after her death, and why Johnny Manziel checked into rehab. As the show wraps up, everyone laughs at clips of Huell Howser.
