Bryan Callen
Podcast: Play in new window
Show Summary
Adam, Alison, and Bryan Callen take the stage at the Jon Lovitz Podcast Theater, and Adam shares some classic Jimmy Kimmel stories. The guys also discuss the ridiculous security to get razors at the supermarket, and what went wrong for the old guy working at the Home Depot. Alison then goes into the audience for Q and Ace, and the guys talk about who in history they would want to get pregnant, meeting Bruce Springsteen, and how involved you should be in the wedding process.
In the news, the guys go through the new conduct rules for secret service agents, after the recent prostitution scandal in Colombia. They also discuss Ryan Seacrest’s media empire, and an airport that got shut down after a baby wasn’t properly screened. Adam recalls his own run in with the TSA, and the guys discuss the 20-year anniversary of the LA riots. As the show wraps up, the guys chat about shotguns and celebrity perfumes.

I was a beautiful young woman with the world ahead of me when the RK /riots happened – now I am an older woman – who was beautiful – or at the very least “pretty” or “the funny one” – and not much politcally has changed. I wish someone had told me not to sleep on my face/left boob for the past 20 years.
I feel there’s a haiku in there somewhere…
When the riots happened
I was young and beautiful
But since slept on face
,,,keep your arms heavy and your belly tight boy………
Here’s a great idea for Adam’s next book:
“Success by Adam Carolla”
Adam has become a life guru to many listeners (including myself). I’d like to see a book that compiles all of Adam’s life advice. Here would be the main topics –
Work Ethic
Fitness
Friendship/Social
Home Life
Happiness
I’d buy it at retail in a second!!
No. You should always go thru ACE broadcasting to the amazon web site.
KATIE’S DAILY PODCAST DRAWINGS
Great show Ace and Company! Can’t believe I got in the front row! Enjoy your illustration and keep on keepin on. PS: Two pics in today’s blog entry!

Nice picture of you and the Ace-man.
Katie still rules. That is all.
Jesus, I just realized how filthy this monitor is. How do I live like this?
Nice work!
You guys are so fucking funny!!
You’re kidding yourself if you think these live shows are better than studio podcasts. Lots of yelling and no laughs. Mahalo
I don’t think they are putting these shows up because they are any more or less funny. I’m pretty sure it’s a way to get more use out of the live show and take the day off. Either way be glad they put something up daily. Most podcasts don’t even get close.
The White House memoradum basically tells the Secret Service not to have fun. No visiting “establishments of irrepute”.
Alison is HAWT
Allison..Das Boots! NO other shoes in that closet?? Even Charlie Brown changes outfits occasionally. Great show.
Nothing else in the closet covers those gargantuan calves.
Boots!
Just my opinion, but Bryan Callen is annoying the hell out of me. He barely lets anyone finish a sentence and drags his jokes for far too long. Nice guy though.
I agree, every time he started rambling it brought the show to a halt, which is weird cause his last appearance was pretty good.
Great, another live show where everyone yells the entire show.
Good show but I much prefer the regular studio podcast. The live shows are naturally less intimate & honest than the regular pod because you’re hyped up in front of a live crowd feeling the pressure to entertain. Still enjoyed it though.
Whenever I buy razors I always wedge one box in the door so the buzzer stays on. My little passive aggressive way of getting back at them.
Those are some really hot columbian prostitiutes/russian spies. I would’ve gotten into that too. I should go on vacation down there sometime soon. I’m told that it’s like 10 to 1 down there, 10 women to every 1 man, and 9 of those women are really hot. I should go find that out for myself.
Alison,
it’s ” dis-REP-utable”, not ” dis-re-PU-table”.
Nice dead crowd – Ace and Bryan Callen’s riffs were great and they weren’t getting much reaction from the crowd.
Bryan is a chatty cathy
Not looking forward to this one. Live show usually equals too quiet and then too loud, bad times! I did buy a “One Good Earbud” through the show and Amazon but my palatial office, desk and reference table are too much landscape for the short little chord that is designed more for a personal listening device. I guess I could try listening through my iPhone. “I lost my tail and it’s going to be a blustery day”, “it sounds like someone has a bad case of the Mondays”.
I believe you should get your ass kicked for saying something like that, man.
too funny
Favorite part was Callen praising Adam for coming up with the gangbang riff off the top of his head. Adam just sits there and doesn’t fess up to the fact he’s been recycling that monthly for years.
holy shit was that funny!
Where do I find the video of Ace getting harassed at the airport? looking online but not able to find it. Can anyone help?
People in Milan buy from Paris.
I didn’t like this guy, didn’t think he was funny. And everyone was trying to talk over each other the whole time. Leave the joking to Adam!
Who the fuck is letting Ace go out in public dressed like that? He looks like a fucking retarted retard. Alison hot as always, I totally want to smell it and Brian Callen is not funny and talks to much.
I agree, his clothes are quite low on the style meter. He dresses like “Pops Carolla”.
Alison is getting a little too comfortable on the podcast … “Carolla is going to beat off to it tonight.” I think as her boss he deserves more respect than that.
Callen didn’t really fit in with the show; kept trying to force jokes from his act and not really used to the idea of :
- Adam doing most of the talking.
- The improv nature of the show.
I’d give him another shot, but he has to relax and work on his timing.
what an unfunny guest
He’s a funny guy, just out of his element.
Bryan Callen was painfully unfunny
Maybe the man crush he has on Adam made him nervous. Good show for ace and alison though as always. Btw I’m not sure if Adam could look any sloppier for these live shows…Ace man you are LITERALLY A MILLIONAIRE, why not dress like one?
brian callen is great i’m sure by himself with prepared bits. hell, even some of the jokes he did today were great and got laughs. but when he’s sharing the stage with the greatest improviser out there, he needs to understand who the king is and not extend his shitty springsteen stories over adam’s rants. shades of bonadouchey. otherwise good stuff
My favorite part of the show was when Mike said my name twice, then Brian said it twice, and then Adam and Allison each said it once. Caaaaaastanza! Maaaaaarc Dixon!
If Will Sasso and Alison had a kid it would break world records in calf girth
Absolutely.
All buzz cut and ass!
Callen? mmmmmm sometimes
Allison’s legs…Mmmmmm.
Joe Walsh is funnier than this guy
Alison – the saying is “It’s a marathon, not a sprint.”
What you said was “It’s a marathon, not a race.” …listen sweetie – a marathon is a race!
The guy did a pretty good Springsteen impersonation. But these live shows, while appreciated, are not as good as the studios shows.
I love Adam’s F-U sartorial style. If he dressed like he cares even more people would become fashion critics. Leave him alone!
Alright now What Im gonna need for you right now is to right quick go ahead and listen to me and go ahead and do what Im gonna need from you is to go on and listen up to what im gonna need.
right now.
Most painful live show yet. Hard to listen to, everyone talking over each other, loudly fighting for attention.
