Bill Callahan and Robert Patrick Lewis
Adam opens the show discussing how he doesn’t know which movies to see first now that all the Academy screeners are coming his way. Gary then gives some updates on the new Carolla App, and Adam takes listener phone calls about advice on asking someone out and awful parking ticket ladies. Adam also takes a call from Staff Sergeant Robert Patrick Lewis, who talks about training medics in Afghanistan, how he got his purple heart, and whatever happened to USO shows.
After Bald Bryan reviews Dallas Buyers Club for this week’s Baldywood, Adam welcomes musician Bill Callahan to the show. The guys discuss life in Austin, and how cool it is to have your music heard across the world. Next up, the group listens back on a hilarious Loveline clip when Adam tried to help another young caller ask a girl out. As the show wraps up, Alison details news stories about a child killer who wants to donate his organs, the final stages of Blockbuster’s shut down, and the TV rights for the first commercial space flight.
