Show Summary

At the top of the show, Adam talks about having an interaction with his mother in which she tries to convince him he doesn’t actually know Donald Trump. Then Adam plays a clip from an episode of this weeks Reasonable Doubt in which him and Mark Geragos discuss Kathy Griffins latest comedic stunt involving a fake, severed head of Donald Trump. After that, Adam went to see “The Book of Mormon” with the family and ran into Jo Koy! Before the break, the gang takes some fan phone calls on a new rich/man poor man, and which accents are appropriate to imitate and which ones aren’t.

Barry Marder and Beth Kennedy are in-studio next to discuss Barry’s book-turned-theater play Letters From A Nut. Adam opens the interview asking Barry about how his book series came to be and eventually got turned into a play. Then Barry and Beth perform live version except from two of the letters in Barry’s book. Before they wrap, Gina delivers her daily news stories on: The recent terrorist stabbing attacks in London, Bill Maher apologizing after using a racial slur on his show, Wonder Woman rocking the box office this weekend, the Mets mascot getting canned after giving the ginfer to some unruly fans, a girl accepted into Yale for writing her essay on ordering pizza, a baseball teams therapy dog, and Florida getting rid of the tampon tax.

Letters From A Nut Begins production at the Geffen Playhouse starting Wednesday, June 28th. Follow the theater @ GeffenPlahouse, and check for tickets on their website at http://geffenplayhouse.org/
