It’s a very special cross pollinated episode of Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend mixed with For Crying Out Loud. Lynette sits down with Alison and they follow the long form interview format of Alison’s show discussing the history of her relationship with Adam. Stefanie is still in the throws of a terrible flu but we wish her well and with any luck we’ll be back with a normal show next week!

I listen to FCOL and A.R.is your new best friend every week. So I especially enjoyed your joint March 15, 2013 podcast. zulily.com has become an additional new best friend of mine.
Your mom and 6-year-old daughter indicating a similar dislike for your ponytail at first seemed like a bizarre coincidence. Your mom liked your attractive friends over less attractive ones. Probably out of that group, she preferred your friends to be without freckles, curly or frizzy hair. Maybe, the common denominator is symmetry. For some individuals (not including stalkers), symmetry can be comforting, calming and reassuring.
By 20 or 21 years of age, that not always well-used part of the brain that exercises judgment and ethics should be mature and operational. Gift your son and daughter with the latest Mac laptops. Sounds like a commercial, but use the “Go To Meeting” service. Keep Skype appointments with both children. Make it clear the free Mac comes with “strings”. Any missed appointments will result in nagging (and potentially embarrassing) parental involvement.
I have no professional credits, just some life experiences. You sound like you are a great parent. So this overly long posting is just a verbal version of the cute (pre-LOL cats) poster of a kitten “just hang in here”.
Great episode today! loved it! Loved Lynette and Alison together. Lynette has had a very interesting life, great interview done by Alison! I love Adam and the way he speaks his mind and doesn’t give a shit what other people think, but it was really nice to hear stories about the softer side of him as well. Great pod ladies!
Hi Guys!
I’m a huge fan of the Carolla Pirate Ship… I listen to everything and try my best to help keep it afloat. I just wanted to let you know what a great podcast this was. As always Alison’s interviewing style is amazing and I wish she was “My Best Friend.” It was such a candid interview with Lynette. Which was a super nice treat! Lynette such a special and caring person and I always love to hear about her and Adam’s relationship. It was very touching to hear how she grew up and how she interacts with her siblings. A lot of it really hit home to me. It really bring everything to full circle. Thank you Lynette for opening yourself up – which I know for me would be no easy feat. I know what I’m saying really doesn’t do it justice other than I can say thanks for letting the fans into your lives. Oh and the “go fuck yourself” segment was thoroughly entertaining!
I hope this crossover podcast brings you guys even more success – and thanks Gary for hanging in there and I hope you feel better soon!
Melissa
Great episode.
This was like one of those old crossover TV shows when the crew and passengers of the Love Boat went to Fantasy Island. Great to hear some old Lynette + Adam stories. Maybe next time Lynette can grill Alison on her (dog) parenting skills.
Hope you feel better, Producer Gary.
great show, best one yet
Hey guys,
I remember you were asking questions on the show a few weeks back about the g-spot. I found this video that should explain it using Play-Doh models: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yz68K2qAlkE
I really enjoyed the episode and it was great to learn more about Lynette. Her mothers attitude towards looks isn’t unusual. My mother and grandmother also bombarded me with “a woman must look her best at all times”. It is about self-esteem. It really isn’t bad advice as most women wear sweatpants and no makeup to the grocery store, nowadays.
It’s not bad when it’s just not advice and isn’t constantly harped on. And you certainly don’t need to wear make-up to go to the grocery store.
Amen. We are pigs, as a society, myself included.
Gary,
I’ve also watched several “How-to” videos on folding fitted sheets, including a Martha Stewart episode, without success. Women do it so fast, make it look easy, so here’s a guy’s take on it:

Pause it after every step if needed to get the technique down.
Love, love, love it!! Love you ladies and THANK YOU for such a fantastic and interesting interview!
Great show!!! I’d love to see Lynette’s pix from your wedding please!!
I went to Zulily to buy a bunch of things and after I entered my credit card info and hit continue nothing happened, is it just me or are others having the same issue?
Lynette,
Thanks for being so open! Your mom, especially the focus on looks (for me and friends) sounds so familiar. Also, my parents didn’t like each other and it took awhile (b/c my dad was physically present but totally checked out) for us to get to the understanding that mom was crazy (but I knew!) Just wanted to say that I relate!
Great show! Enjoyed so much knowing a little more of your background Lynette, it was really interesting and funny. Lynette you are so smart, beautiful and funny Adam got lucky.
Alison was great as always too, Stefanie should do Alison’s podcast too!
Love it!
Best episode yet, loved hearing Alison and Lynette converse, it all flowed very well and was very interesting. More Alison and Lynette!
Rather than folding fitted sheets, I roll them and put them with the top sheet inside the matching pillow case. That way the whole set is neatly together.
Great show, loved it.
I thought my download had done something wrong but happily listened and was pleasantly surprised to hear the hybrid of FCOL & ARYNBF. Alison’s segments are cute and jingles are funny. I like hearing Lynette speak to how she got to where she is at currently (professionally & privately). Great job ladies
