1 in a 133 people have celiac disease. I happen too and my 6yr old daughter also almost died from anaphylaxis after a bite of a cookie that happened to have peanut butter in it. So yes we have one of those super annoying little girls with a severe nut allergy. Funny fucking stuff today. #sarcasm
Wow. You must be a real blast to hang out with, how did you find this podcast bc it can’t be that you like comedy.
dr bruce is such a dork, knows nothing about sex.
g spot is grafenberg named after a doctor. all women have the ability to squirt, it is real & the best orgasim by far i might add..
Squirting is a myth invented by the porn industry in an effort to “ratchet” it up to the next extreme thing. We never heard of it before a few years ago…….why? its just the latest trend, not a newly discovered biological development. I’m sure taking a piss while having sex feels great to you, but thats all it is.
Where is the “reservoir” that holds that much volume? It just comes from where at that rate? from where? oh……….the urethra and bladder. Same for butt sex, the latest “thing”, i don’t remember everyone talking about it with smug pride 10 years ago…….enjoy your uncontrollable loose bowels in your older years and your piss soaked sheets.
get Dr. Drew in to put down this nonsense.
its got nothing to do with the porn industry. i’ve made girls do it long before i saw porn.
you sound like an uptight cunt, good luck with that.
You make girls pee themselves? Ew.
You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
great show btw, love dr bruce
I was disappointed in this show, grilling Dr Bruce about drugs, felt like you are looking for a drug loop hole. In my opinion towards the end of the segment Lynette was a rude to Dr Bruce. Just because you have heard it before, the listening audience hasn’t.
Gluten Free has helped with achy joints, but it is a pain in the ass. No more free office donuts, or pizza, girl scout cookies, baked goodies around the holidays. Office lunches also a pain, I wish I could go back but the daily pain isn’t worth it.
Bring Ray on, loved him on Dr Drew’s show.
Love the show, 1 miss in all your episodes ain’t bad.
I agree. I found Lynette to be a bulky to Dr. Bruce and very rude. She seems to be jumping on Adam’s, “Let’s be mean to Dr. Bruce” ban wagon. Don’t invite the man onto the show and then not listen to him. Tisk, tisk
Gary-is there any where to listen to the old parent experiment podcasts? I need to hear that sleeping expert one desperately. My baby is insane.
Thank you
I love Dr. Bruce, glad that he had a chance to go over the topics Adam cut him off from discussing.
I am the 1 out of 133.
I hate it, I am. It’s expensive, non-exclusive to destroy nearly every organ in my body and life-altering (socially and physically.) I didn’t acquire major medical symptoms (but was ill my entire childhood from numerous ailments) until my early twenties and was diagnosed after several hospitilizations. It was a fluke a doctor located it and when I was, I was given a ‘good luck and see a nutritionist’ for a food plan. I have more medical professionals office numbers and specialists in my phone contact list than friends- this is a life altering ailment. Only a GF lifestyle is the only cure. No pills, no surgery- just eating Gluten-Free.
Gluten is in food and item’s you’d be surprised. Make up (lip stick. you DO ingest it unknowngly) lotions, body soaps, and in foods. Its not even a natural chemical! Soy sauce? Why is there ADDED CHEMICALS in a natural food? It’s also a heridiatry disease, very ‘Nordic/Scandivian.’ A lot of my glute-free, pre-made foods come from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and some even Candada. $7.00+ for a loaf of Gluten-Free bread anyone?? It’s expensive eating healthy. I’m more than willing to show you grocery receipts for even fresh fruits and veggies, not including the GF foods.
I’d continue but I’ve somehow cross-contaminated myself in the last day and one of the many symptoms have hit me. There are several informative people on Twitter (thank God for 140 characters or less because Celiacs are informative and talkative about their disease.) I honestly would not wish Celiac (sprue) Disease on my worst enemy. It’s physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially draining.
Good show. Can you guys have Teresa Strasser on soon to update on her second baby and her move to Arizona? Maybe via phone if she can’t make it to LA? Thanks, keep up the great work!
I love Dr. Bruce. Yes, you guys are too hard on him sometimes. He is interesting, has something to say, and you are rude to him and cut him off. I know it’s all in fun, but let him talk some more and give him some respect!!
Thanks! Love your show.
I like Dr. Bruce too, he is a nice contrast to the sometimes frenetic yet loveable Dr. Drew. I do agree they are far too hard on Bruce. Even though they claim to be “joking” it is actually rude and exhausting to listen to. It’s also not very funny. There are actually people who tune in to hear what Bruce has to say. Lynette’s proximity to Adam over the years has turned her into a female Adam, impatient, talks too much, and a bit overbearing in interviews.
Hi,
Maybe you could have a sexologist on so that the questions Dr. Bruce can’t answer don’t get half – answered or get the rote-male kind of ignoring-it answers. There are two people in the LA area that are awesome and in the podcast-world. There is a show on Nerdist called “Sex Nerd Sandra” (sexnerdsandra.com). She works at the Pleasure Chest and she is a coach. That means she knows a lot about a lot of stuff and is good about going to conferences and the like to remain informed, but she doesn’t have a professional degree. Jaiya Ma http://www.missjaiya.com/ is a sexologist and can answer any anatomy questions you have as well as comment on the social-behavioral stuff. She is famous (in the sex world) and a prolific author (has books to publicize) so I can’t imagine it would be too difficult to get her on. She is a parent also.
Just FYI:
1)There is a G (named after Dr. Grafenburg) “spot” (really an area, and not the same in every person). There is a reflex for female ejaculation. He was right that they don’t necessarily have anything to do with each other. Vaginal orgasms can be triggered/achieved by any number of things, and g-area stimulation is only one of them. If you really want to work on having them, Dr. Jaiya is your answer.
2)Factory farms/big agribusiness when you were growing up were not at all the same as they are now. The use of hormones in food animals (and antibiotics, etc…) has increased dramatically and continues to. That’s why precocious puberty has only come up in the past 10-15 years or so even though we have always eaten animal products.
3) Canned food IS a concern. You are right. Many cans are lined with BPA. Endocrine-disruptive plastics (mostly vinyl and vinyl products) are everywhere even though BPA has been removed from lots of hard plastic.
….that was me trying to fit the BPA comment in on twitter, the result that it was basically incomprehensible.
THANK YOU for all that you do, making the end of the week easier to manage and giving me something to listen to in the car to drown out the guilt of not listening to my kid
. I really love you guys.
I hope these next comments 1) are read and 2) are read as supportive and respectful Please know I am a health professional focused on gender and sexuality (I have an MPH and I am just about to write a dissertation) so this is more than just fan-ness….although I am a huge fan.
SWT:
I think that you and John show an incredible wealth of intuitive knowledge about how to love all of your kids and help them thrive. I appreciate your willingness to share your love and admiration for your kids’ individuality & personalities. Your decision, conscious or not, to talk about Mathilda (sp?) in this way (individuality and personality rather than always about gender and sex and sexuality) reflects the work of a vast scholarship on gender and development. I don’t mean to assert that you are or aren’t referring to academic work in your parenting- that doesn’t matter…I just wanted to say that if the theorists know anything (and I think they do) they know that gender is just one of the things we perform every day, all day. These performances and the identities they are associated with may not be an active choice, but they are contextual, they shift often, they mean lots of different things and not all of the meanings, shifts and contexts are profound.
Lynette:
HRT is a personal choice for everyone. As a listener I know I have a little tiny bit of “data” and there are a lot of variables that I can’t know, but to generalize in a major way, you seemed to have several weeks where your speech and thought-process seemed muddled. You had trouble articulating yourself and often were about to share something and decided what you had to say wasn’t important, or gave up on trying to make your point. Who knows if its the pellets, but if I think about how limited free testosterone has the potential to impact human behavior, and it makes a lot of sense that there might have been a connection. These inclinations/challenges seemed to have gone away and as an avid listener that is wonderful to notice. I hope you keep feeling clear-headed and confident (and that you maintain a healthy sex-drive, bc who wants to be sahara-like in the pants when they are such bad-asses in the rest of their life?)
OK enough geekery. Thank You so much!
Please let Dr.Bruce speak! I truly want to listen to what he has to say. You let every other guest have their say. I normally love your podcast and love both Stefanie and Lynnette, but it is not cute or funny to be rude & butt in the majority of the show. I like to relax listening to your show but the way you talk to Dr.Bruce is not relaxing or entertaining. You’re both better than that.
I was wondering about Lynette’s opinion on the tooth fairy. I love your show and I also listen to Adam’s show. He said your daughter got $40 for a lost tooth? I just was wondering about the reason for this and if you’re worried about spoiling the twins at all.
Thank you!
Yes, I agree to let Bruce speak more, I know he knows -you guys love him but…
hey , the guy came in loaded with material so let him roll!
I could listen to you 3 every week, maybe that could be a second show weekly show??
