Lynette, Stefanie and Dr. Drew Calls In

The show opens up with Stefanie sharing that she has been feeling extremely anxious lately & is having a hard time dealing with it as she obviously can’t take Xanax. As Lynette & Stefanie discuss the feeling and when it started Producer Gary gets Dr. Drew on the phone who talks with the ladies about Stefanie’s symptoms & suggests some possible treatment options. The conversation then turns to an issue Natalia has been having at school and a general conversation about the differences between Lynette & Stefanie’s kids schools.

Agree with Dr Drew. SWT…you need a complete eval by your doc. Hyperthyroidism will give you these symptoms as will other somewhat uncommon metabolic problems.
In the perimenopausal period your progesterone levels will drop. If you check your levels they may be “normal” but may not be optimal for you. The classic story I hear in a woman that are sensitive to mild to moderate drops in progesterone are that they felt better pregnant when progesterone levels go up. Hair, skin, libido and energy can improve in these women when pregnant. Mild to moderate drops at your age can then cause a wide variety of symptoms including anxiety.
    mutch love chicas
    always enjoy listening to you

I really like this one–talking “mom talk” with out bashing other moms is what I like to listen to on a parenting podcast. You talked about Jay Mohr–why not invite his wife (Nikki Cox) to come on–she is funny and cool.

Lynette, I agree you should change schools–school doesn’t get more inspiring the older they get and your school sounds like mine where there is repetitive homework, no inspired projects, and a few unmotivated teachers. I would give anything to be able to find a different school for my kids but most are unaffordable and we have very few charter schools here. Change while you can!

    SWT’s school sounds great!

    Thanks
