Lynette,
Wrong advice about leaving for a concert away from family obligations with the kids grandfather.
you will never be able to get back “if something happens”.
HELLO: something is happening – vacations need to be postponed. You can always go visit Springsteen – you cannot take back time with a loved one.
Just my opinion.
Keep up the good show.
I always thought Adam must be exaggerating about Drews wife. After listening to this I see that he wasn’t.
Poor Dr. Drew.
I agree… I didn’t like her since the first time she was a guest. She seems to love herself a little too much. But Lynette has such a great personality, she makes it work!!
Great show. Susan and Lynette loved hearing how each of you had some sort of anxiety and/or depression. I had a similar issues and it always is refreshing to hear other women been through it. It was something I was ashamed of and finally feel comfortable talking to others about it and find out they too had simialr issues too. It’s such a hush hush thing or people think your crazy when your having these issues but it more common than people think. So true about women talking crap and jealous issues. I have very few female friends because I get sick of hearing all the drama. Love the show and love you guys!
I loved the show, and it was my first time listening. Susan twitted me how to get to the show, and I plan to see it again. I agree that the discussion on issues with anxiety and depression can be very hard to talk to others about. Anxiety can be misunderstood, but with good medical care can be helped. Thank you. I really miss Stephanie. Hope she’s doing well with the show, but I also hope she’s back soon.
Everyone has a bit of anxiety and depression. Cry me a river.
I’m sure you posted this to get a response and I fell for it hook, line and sinker. But, in case you are just uninformed on the subject, allow me to shed some light. Coming from someone who has had both ‘normal life’ anxiety (balance of job, spouse, kids, mild life stressors, etc) to a shift as I got older to a true, diagnosed Generalized Anxiety Disorder…. the two are worlds apart, I can assure you. You are correct, everyone has a bit of anxiety and depression, which is a normal part of life. However, a subset of the population has bonifide, neurotransmitter-based, depression or anxiety (or sometimes both) and it is both unfair and unbecoming of you to patronize these ladies for sharing something so personal.
Everyone might have anxiety and depression, but when it gets rough, why suffer through it?? When a parent experiences these emotions, they adversely impact the children. Get help when you need it.
The show had some good topics about depression and hormone replacement, I liked hearing that information. But…. I really don’t like Susan Pinsky. She came across as a rich, spoiled, elitist wife. She is hard to identify with, unlike Drew. I do enjoy the show in general.
Agreed!
Great show ladies! I appreciated hearing about the anxiety/depression issues. I suffer from anxiety and at 42 years old, am going to bring up hormonal issues at my next annual.
Based on all I have heard since discovering ACE Broadcasting, I would go to Chicago too.
I miss Stephanie but Susan is also great… I’m very entertained by her and don’t think she deserves the negative comments. Think about it. She’s Dr. Drew’s wife! She has money! Think about how “elitist” she could be but she’s pretty down to earth. Give the lady a break!
Best intro – to date. Hiiiiiiii !!
Thanks for another great show.
Great Episode! As a mom of a 19 year old it’s great to hear about the adjustments of empty nest and the ‘good times’ of menopause.
Oh and some of the other listener comments this week are such crap. Every family is different – I for one think your a great wife for thinking about cancelling your weekend trip but know you made the right choice letting Adam have the weekend to himself. Oh how jealous I am of that time alone in the house – lets just think about that for a moment… Alone in the house is simply awesome especially when there is drama you can’t do anything about.
Loved the show – as always – I can’t remember, is this the show where Lynette referred to something she used for her hair as, “better than Morroccan Oil”?? Please! Do Tell!!!
Always love Mrs. Pinsky as your guest, but I do miss the SWT!
Thanks for all your work into the show, of course – Gary included!

Would love to hear more about Lynette’s “odyssey” on hormone replacement. How’s it going? Updates please!
Lynette! I have major road rage too!! It’s hard not to get mad when other drivers do stupid things.
Drew & Susan seem like the perfect couple, it makes me sick!
But I love Dr. Drew and Susan is so knowledgeable & gives great advice – they’re both great!
