For Crying Out Loud: Apprentice Recap

Celebrity ApprenticeToday’s show is back to just the girls. Lynette and Stefanie discuss Adam’s first Celebrity Apprentice episode, and Producer Gary chimes in since he was in New York when Adam was taping. Lynette also talks about trying to put the kids to bed while they were watching the show, and explains how fun it was to watch it with Adam. Later, they chat about the upcoming Oscars.

Lynette then talks about all the stars she met while attending a party at Jimmy Kimmel’s house. The girls wonder what it must be like to date George Clooney, and they also discuss the trend of celebrities adopting babies. Stefanie makes it a point to say how great it is to have kids, even though the all the sports and volunteer work makes it seem like another job. As the show wraps up, Stefanie chats about the new reality TV show her kids are into.

    Great episode ladies!

    As for forgetful parenting moments…

I sent my son to school with crazy hair, on the wrong day! My poor boy went to school with black and yellow stripes the week before he was supposed to.

    Try springpad for a to-do-list/ reminder app @ http://springpadit.com/home/
I’ve been using it on my iphone, and it has kept me out of trouble with the wife(several times).

  3. Andrea says:

I still want to know what happened with “The Parent Experiment/ Producer Kathy” … Lynette keeps making little comments about it but I want to hear the whole enchilada!

    • An Onny says:

Do you listen to Adam’s show? He’s addressed this. You have to go back on his unofficial messageboard to find the topic where it’s talked about.

  4. Shelly Blizzard Jones says:

This episode was so easy to relate to. I’m a Canadian, full-time working mom with a 13 year old son and 10 year old boy/girl twins. I sometimes wonder if I forget more than I remember and feel fortunate to not have lost anyone in the drop off and pick up for activities. It’s truly a miracle.
I really felt compelled to put in my two cents regarding parents going to all of the kids activities at school. Again let me say “kids” activities. Many of these scenarios are set up as learning experiences for the children as they are eased in to how social situations work. I wish parents would stop helicoptering around these children. If parents feel they need to be in the classroom everyday then perhaps they should be teachers and share their knowledge with another generation of little citizens. It’s wonderful to volunteer at school but also great to remember that your child needs time to learn on their own.
I often feel bad (super mommy guilt) about not being able to attend everything that goes on at school but frankly my kids are growing up to be independent and don’t rely on my to cheer on their every move.
I’m a dedicated fan of your podcast and of Adam’s as well.
Sidenote: Please get Dr. Laura on your show. I love that crazy B. She’s completely out of her mind. If you could have her face off with Dr. Drew, I’d be thrilled.

  5. Emile says:

thank you Shira for this wonderful story from real life. It was ralley nice to hear about, and touched me. I am ralley glad that it seemed to touch a whole lot of other people that watched it too.

  6. Jeremy says:

I’ve only listened to a few episodes, but this one was difficult to listen to only because of the disparity of audio levels between the hosts and producer Gary. Since I frequently listen in the car it was difficult to hear Gary without turning it up very high and then getting blown out by the hosts when they speak up again. I don’t know if he was miced or not but that would be something to fix for future episodes.

Anyway, love the show. Can’t wait to hear some of your most recent guests/topics.

Any girl who has sex before marriage is a fool. No man would want to marry a chick who has already given away her treasure.
