For Crying Out Loud: New Years

New YearsThe day of recording is Producer Gary’s birthday, so the girls got him a gift card for a massage, and talk about why they like massages and facials. They also talk about the celebrities they’re attracted to, and some problems they are having with their kids’ attitude problems.

Later, the girls take a phone call from flight attendant and fan Shawn Kathleen. They speak to her about life as a flight attendant, and give advice to parents traveling with their kids. The girls also talk about their bad influences growing up, and some of the things Stefanie did to get herself into trouble.

Since New Years is just around the corner, the girls also talk about what to do with the kids, and some of their past experiences. Lynette and Stefanie also complain about expensive babysitters, and Lynette reacts to some of Adam’s more recent rants. As the show wraps up, the girls share their resolutions for the new year.

FUN show to listen to! I could listen all days to you girls chat. I think Lynette gave Stefanie some great advice about how to keep instilling in your kids how you expect them to behave. I think it’s easy to think your “always good” kids will never be a problem, but age 7 is when kids enter the “age of reason”. This is when even the kids who have been timid, clingy, sweet and agreeable their whole lives start thinking for themselves and want to assert their independence. They may even not like themselves for having been so “goody goody” in the past. Another time for this is teenagehood. My sister in law boasted over and over about one of her sons…how she could “always depend on him to make the right decisions” and “never had to worry about him even trying drugs” etc etc. Yet…come 15, 16, he was right there on the path with his pals smoking pot and cutting classes. You can’t let your guard down at any point. Kids WILL see how much they can get away with!

I don’t care if January Jones is a bitch or not, she’s one of the WORST actresses out there!

  4. Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
